random fan speed in auto mode

I have two Big and Quiet purifiers. the fan speed when in Auto seems to be very random and not related to AQI. When both have similar AQI (15- 20) one will be on max fan speed and the other on low (2-3). They seem to be stuck on those fan speeds and don’t change. Why is it not more predictably the speed is and why does the speed not reduce from 10 when the AQI has been stable around 16 for some time?

Lost my Dyson HP7A remote

Hello, I lost my Dyson HP7A remote control, now I cant control temperature, fans speed, change direction...etc. Basically My HP7A becomes useless without the remote control. I called Dyson support 3 times. - The support person (also got his line manager involved) suggested me to use the Dyson app while waiting for the remote control back to stock. However, The Dyson app doesn't not connect to HP7A. I am shocked that Dyson employees don’t know their product that well. - One day later I had a second support call, the support tried to help finding the remote from external sellers, but didn’t success. He said I should exchange my Dyson for a refurbished one and created support ticket for me. He said Dyson will get back to me within 48 hours, but 4 days gone by, no one has contacted me. - Four days later, I called the the third time, the support said I am not eligible for an exchange because it is my fault to lost the remote control, and loosing a remote control is not eligible for an excha

Humidifier - Water tank refill notification, despite full water tank

I am getting a water tank refill notification, despite having a full water tank. The lid and pump assembly was replaced under warranty, but I am now getting the message again and am out of warranty by one week. I have been through all of the trouble shooting steps and nothing works. It doesn’t make sense to pay for a costly part replacement only to have it happen again. At this price point I really expect a better quality product. Any advice?

HP09 heating idle draught

When heating mode reaches the set temperature, the HP09 continues to draw air through at a low rate, presumably to monitor air quality. This air gets blown out the front of the fan, which feels draughty, and seems counterproductive to using the fan as a heater. Given that it has the ability to blow air out of the back in diffuse mode, is it in any way possible to get this to happen when heating mode goes to idle? It does this automatically when the air quality worsens, the fan will speed up and the air will be directed out the back to avoid a cooling effect on people in the room. Surely it would make sense for it to do the same when idling.

MyDyson App won't control my HP09

2 weeks ago I got my air purifier HP09 Formaldehyde, and although it works fine with the remote control, I’m not able to make the app work. It shows it’s connected to the network and shows the current status, but when I try to change any setting, temperature, cooling instead of heating, rotation, you name it, I automatically goes back to the previous state not making any change. It doesn't work with Alexa either and I don’t know what to do now. It’s connected too a 2.4GHZ network, I’m running the latest iOS as well as the latest firmware version for the HP09 and the latest version of the app. PLEASE HELP!

HP07 Fan only

How do you run the HP07 in fan only (+ filtering) mode? No heating or cooling just using it to move air.

Purifier Hot + Cool HP07 Undesired Pausing When Temperature Reached

Maybe this is a strong opinion, however I believe that pausing the machine when the desired heating temperature is reached is not ideal. Using the app, can we provide users with the ability to either: Pause when temperature reached, or Switch to fan (cool) mode when temperature reached The idea for this is so that the fan is always running so that you don’t lose the white noise (which is very distracting at night). Obviously the logic to re-heat should still be the same; re-heat when temperature drops too low. Thoughts?

Can a Siri shortcut be edited?

I can create shortcuts for Siri easily but can’t seem to edit them. Am I missing something? Do I have to delete them and set up again every time I want to make a change?

auto setting and air quality isnt working

Hi, I bought the new Dyson hot+cool generation 1 air purifier. I bought this fan because I have a premature baby and wanted to ensure the room temperate and air flow/quality is alway at its best. since using it, I’ve had it on the auto setting the whole day and the air quality is fine. At night and the air levels are always red & really high! The room is a decent size, always clean and vacuumed. I have the temperature on 22 degrees. The baby is sleeping in our room and I find I often wake up cause it’s too hot or too cold. If I drop the temperature to 21, it’s really cold, if I increase it 23 it gets to hot. Sometimes the air blowing is on the highest (I get that it’s trying to control the temperature) but again I wake up cause it becomes way too hot for the baby. I just can’t get it on the right level for the room. I want to leave this fan in the nursery but I’m worried that it won’t have a consistent temperature or air quality for the baby im not sure why the air quality has been bad

DYSON HP10 first generation lost remote

Hi I have a Dyson HP10 hot cold purifier and have lost remote control , can buy replacement anywhere ,I only discovered it is nor app compatable so it’s stuck on hearing mode so basically no use until I can find the remote , any way to reset it to cold as weather is changing now ,

Dysons Air Purification Range are missing a trick.

Good evening to the community, I don't know if this has been discussed before but the lack of Homekit integration with the Dyson purifier range is somewhat disappointing, the sensors / data is there as other Homekit bridges can bring this information across from the purifier to the home application but it unfortunately isn't native support, I'm sure other users who use the home application on iOS would like to see a feature update to their purifiers to be able to access the data and control the purifier from the home app, somehow the Siri shortcuts just don't give the same user experience as what this integration would! Anyone else's thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! 👍

MyDyson app cannot control temperature

I’ve just bought a Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link HP02. I’ve added it to MyDyson app but the app does not seem to have control for the heating feature. If I want to set heating and select temperature I have to go to the remote control. Do I miss something? Freddy

HP02 in Auto mode stops completely while TP07 does not

I’ve bought last months a TP07 and today I added to another room also an HP02. They behave differently in Auto mode. In the TP07 the Auto mode increases or decrease the fan speed but always continues to run and the oscillation (which I set to be on) always continues. The HP02 on the other hand seems to stop completely both the fan and the oscillation when I set it to auto mode. Which behavior is the correct one? Any place I can find an explanation? Freddy

Why does the screen dim on my Dyson Pure Hot+Cool™ heater purifier?

My HP01 when the temperature is set at any heating temperature setting in about 10 seconds it dims and can’t read it even though room temperature is not at that setting. (Moderation edit - title updated)

Pure Hot&Cool Remote Not Working

Got the fan for christmas, remote that came with it didn't work. swapped the batteries out with new batteries, still nothing. customer service sends me a new remote, also not working. swapped batteries on the new one as well. anyone ever dealt with this? there doesn't appear to be anyway to sync the remote to the fan it's just automatic. maybe the fan itself isn't receiving any signal from the remote...

ph03 humidifier humidity reading

Unpacked it, and it is reading 69% humidity in a dry house in the uk. Is this possible? Had it on all night and Water level doesn’t go down as humidity sensor reading too high and not working (I think). can’t get any support.

No control over fan speed in HP04

I have an HP04 and it does not allow me to set a low fan speed when set to heating mode. I understand from several other posts on here that this behavior is intentional, but I don’t see how this makes sense. Why have a fan speed setting if it doesn’t actually control the fan speed? I want a small amount of heat and a small amount of airflow, not to hear a loud blaring fan as soon as I turn it on 1 degree over the room temperature, and not to get zero heat if I set the heat to the same temperature as the room. The machine is clearly capable of a lower fan speed, because when you set the heat to the same temperature as the room, the fan slows down. Allow us to actually control this, and let the machine decide its own fan speed when it’s set to “auto” setting, not when we’re manually controlling the fan speed. (and the machine’s software is updateable - so you could fix this with a software tweak, and given the number of other topics on this board that have asked for this, you should)

HP09 - voice command to switch off heating and go back to standard auto mode?

Hi there, Having some problems trying to figure out voice commands on my HP09. I can easily tell Alexa to switch it to heating mode and set a temperature. But how the heck do you then get Alexa to go back to cooling/air purifier standard mode? If I simply say “turn off heat” that shuts the whole machine down, so not really useful. If you then tell Alexa to turn it back on, it goes right back to heating mode. Is it possible to do this via voice? Thanks :)

connecting the AM09 to mydyson app, serial number not recognised - Suggestions?

Hello. I have a Hot+Cool Jet Focus AM09 fan heater and when I enter the serial number on the MyDyson app, the serial number isn’t recognised. I’m certain the serial number is entered correctly. Is there another way to link the fan to the app please?

Air purifier autoreact - Night mode confusion

Hi All, I am new to a dyson air purifier and am confused about the night mode. I set the night mode for 8 hours. The next day, after 8 hours, should the screen not light back up and work as usual! It seems to stay on night mode until I press the power button again! Please put me out of my misery and let me know what I am doing wrong! Thank you

Air Treatment - Warning triangles on display and one on Auto on remote

I have a new Formaldehyde hot and cool purifier. The auto button shows a warning triangle as do the display settings on the machine. I contacted ‘support’ via whatsapp’ on Wednesday and the replies come at random times and no one has been helpful. I have read the manual, switched on and off, taken filters off and on. I have watched the videoI am really fed up now. I would really like a refund as this is so stressful for me Thank you

Unable to add the HP00 to the Dyson App. Any Ideas?

Hi guys. I am a new user, I bought an HP00 air purifier and when I try to add it within the Dyson app (when entering the serial number) it tells me that it is wrong and I cannot add it, when chatting with support. Ivo tells me that there is a problem with this equipment but they do not give me a solution. Does anyone know how I can solve this? Thank you.
