Welcome to November’s edition of our community newsletter.

As with every newsletter, I like to start off by welcoming all our new members, those that are returning and to everyone that’s still considering joining us. It’s truly great to have you here. From the moment you hit the homepage, interact with articles, leave likes, a comment or simply create your own topic, it all helps our community to grow! Please do keep up the great work.

Here’s what we’ve been working on through November:

Community linking - MyDyson™ app

Since the community launched back in august last year, it’s seen multiple phases of expansion. An extension to each category, new discussion and support areas, as well as regular updates to the self-evolving knowledge base. To support this, we’ve been working with the development team to further align the community’s In-App links and the categories these appear against.

We’re very excited to say that the community is now featured in the app for our Air Treatment, Floor care and Hair care products, and has furthermore been renamed to ‘Dyson Community’.

Optimisation - How to: article expansion

We’re always looking at growing the community. Reviewing posts for how we can better optimise the experience of our members and visitors alike. We’ve therefore made it even easier to find answer to some of our highest search for and posted subjects, creating a new series of ‘How to:’ articles. These include:

  1. How to: Check on the progress of a delivery
  2. How to: Order spare parts and accessories
  3. How to: Book a repair with Dyson

Optimisation – Article Titles

To make it even easier to find content, search for answers and even view what is already on the community, we’ve been optimising the ‘Title text’ across our own posts and some created by our members.

This optimisation helps by making the title more machine specific, using keywords that then appear in the search results for others. This also helps by further reflecting to content of the post. Don’t worry, each time we do this, we’ve been leaving am little moderation note, highlighting what we’ve changed.

What’s next…

We’ve got some exciting content drops coming in December. News on our Headphone category and some Christmas themed posts. Don’t worry if you miss these, well make sure they’re in our ‘Feature articles’ section on the homepage. Watch this space!

That’s it. As always, we’ll be posting monthly updates in our ‘Content calendar’, letting you know what our most recent additions are. If you have a suggestion for future content or just simply wish to provide feedback, let us know in the comments below.

Speak to you all again very soon
