We're excited to bring you the next edition of our Community Newsletter!

The eagled eyed among you will have noticed our last newsletter was back in the Summer, don’t worry we didn’t forget about this - we’ve simply switched to a quarterly format 😁!

With this switch in formats, we’ll be sharing news in a new way. Community updates and latest additions will be shared under the ‘At-a-Glance’ sections, while the ‘Community tips’ will be used to highlighting how to get the best out of the platform and spotlighting key members. So, let's dive right in!

At-a-Glance

On the road to making the community the best place it can be, we wanted to focus making everyone's experience easier - looking to answer some of our top questions, in addition to pointing everyone in the right place to make informed decision about their next purchase.

In support of this, over the last few months we’ve released several new articles and updated some of our existing ‘How To:’ content. Here’s a summary of what's new or that's changed:

What's New:

For those struggling or you’re just looking for inspirations for the next purchase, we have three articles designed to help you make an informed decision, while providing you with a few recommendations as to the next purchase.

What’s Changed:

To cater for a new global audience, we’ve updated the links on the following articles. This link will now take all users to their local Dyson website.

Community Tips

Encouraging Participation and Engagement

Our community has grown exponentially since the Summer, with an extra 2,000+ new members joining. This has resulted in a flurry of questions and conversations - deep diving into the data, we’re seeing the vast majority only have one or two replies. While our members are getting answers, we’d love to start seeing more conversations, input, and suggestion from our great community of members!

To get you started, here’s some tips for authors and those thinking of replying:

(1) Start Conversations

Don't be afraid to initiate conversations or discussions. Ask open-ended questions and encourage other to share their experiences, opinions, or even a fun fact. The more interactive the discussions, the more people will participate - if you’re not sure how to start or what information to include, our How to: Create a Topic/Post article can help.

(2) Be active

A replay might not come in the first minutes or hours, so remember to check back regularly. If you forget, don’t worry, you’ll receive a notification when one lands. Remember to ‘Like’ or simply thank the responder, showing appreciation encourages others to contribute.

(3) Share Useful Content

Provide valuable and relevant content. Share articles, guides, or resources that other find useful or that can help answer their question - our Knowledge Base and the Dyson YouTube channel are great resource for this.

(4) Other ways to Get Involved

Your participation is what makes our community work! You might say you’re the glue that hold it all together! Here's some further tips on how you can get more involved:

  • Share your knowledge: Write articles or post conversations on topics you're passionate about.
  • Helping others: Offer guidance to newcomers to help them integrate into our community - a great place for this is on our Meet the Community | Introduce yourself space.
  • Invite friends and colleagues: Encourage others who share your interests to join our community - everyone is welcome to join.
  • Provide feedback: Let the community team know what we’re getting right or wrong, this way we can help tailor the experience to you, our members!

David's Tip: "Don't be afraid to share your ideas and experiences. Your unique perspective can be incredibly valuable to others, and it's a fantastic way to connect with fellow members."

That’s it. As always, if you have a suggestion for future content or just simply wish to provide feedback, let us know in the comments below.
