Dyson v8 Soft Roller Cleaner Head spins and then stops

Hi all!My Dyson soft roller head is behaving in a really weird way (link to video): The head spins for around half a second before abruptly stopping as if its hitting something and getting stuck. The motor itself seems fine as it spins freely when the roller head is not installed. I cleaned out hair from the spinning parts attaching the roller in place. There is no clear obstacle that the roller is hitting. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on what to do?Thanks!

Warranty Return UK - Terrible experience - Refund required

HiI registered a within-warranty claim for my faulty Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal 2 on 17th November.It was eventually collected on 28th November.I have contacted Dyson via the Digital Assistant chat numerous times since then and each time they have guaranteed an update within 72 hours.We are well over the promised ten working day return limit and I have had no updates and no sign of the unit being returned.Christmas is fast approaching so please can I have a refund to the value of the unit and extended warranty to buy a new vacuum cleaner so I can clean my house for my guests?RegardsCyrus

Airstraight gives my hair static electricity

I love the Dyson Airstraight but it gives my hair static. I can spray my hair with hairspray but after a couple of hours the static is back. Help.

red light fashes but new battery on v6 vac

Stripped down fan working cleaned circuit board fit new battery checked voltage ok when starting up it runs with blue light on for a couple of seconds all ok then stops and red lights comes on if I keep pressing switch the red light flashes although it’s a new battery cleaned all filters etc

My Dyson V7 is overheating from the hand piece

Hi everyone im new here and I’ve had my Dyson V7 for roughly 5 months and the last couple times I’ve used it I’ve noticed the main body above the grip is getting very hot and it’s blowing hot air into the back filter.So I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue aswel I know I need to contact Dyson support which will be my next step

What is the life of a cordless vacuum battery?

How long will it be before having to purchase a new battery? This cordless vac would be for my mother who is in her 80’s. She needs a light weight, easy to handle unit. However, I am concerned about the battery life as she is on SS, cannot afford $150 to replace it. I wish she would just let me buy her a corded unit, but this is what she wants despite the many negatives associated with batteries.

Another Filter Replacement Question :)

Hey Everyone, I have a question regarding a notification I am getting on my Dyson Pure Cool Air Filter (DP04). I searched high and low online to find the answer but I found myself reaching out here in hopes someone else has had this issue and can answer faster. I have replaced my filter twice now and now I am getting this warning red blinking light (see pic) - it seems to be trying to tell me that something is wrong with one of the filters. Both have been replaced and both are new. I have pulled them both out and reset - still no change. Has anyone else had this issue or can you help with how to fix it? Any help is hugely appreciated.

hi! I replaced the filter in my Dyson HP10, but can’t turn off the blinking filter replacement light. I tried using the methods available that were suggested to me in a dyson article about this, but it doesn’t seem to work. can someone help me?

Dyson Gen5 actual running time

Hello everyone,  I just purchased a dyson gen5 detect and the screen displays 13:48 minutes running time under boost mode 57 minutes under ECO ,  and 36 minutes under Auto, while the advertising saying up to 70 minutes. Can someone help me understand ? Do I  need to return it? Thanks.

V12 Detect - Filter keeps blocking

We have a V12 detect. At first it ran fine, then the machine said to wash the filter. We did this and all was well, but before too long it needed washing again. We now have two filters, both Dyson,  but we barely vacuum the house before it needs washing again. It is getting ridiculous.We are doing nothing different and the house never gets that dusty. Why does the interval between cleaning the filter get shorter and shorter

Dyson Corrale straighteners - lock

Good afternoon - My partner recently bought me the dyson Corrale straighteners as an early Christmas present. I’ve only had them roughly a week and the lock has stopped working so I can’t lock them together anymore. Is there a simple way to fix this or will I have to send them back to Dyson for repair?   Thanks :)

Lamp turning on and off by itself

The lamp initially performed admirably, but within a year, I encountered significant issues. It began to switch on and off unpredictably. Dyson's support acknowledged this as a widespread battery problem affecting their lamps. Despite a repair attempt, the malfunction recurred within months. A replacement lamp was provided, but it too failed within a year, coinciding with the warranty's expiration. Dyson declined further repairs or replacements, offering only a modest discount for a new purchase on their website. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a product costing £500. Moreover, several of my friends have reported similar problems around the 1-2 year mark. Why is Dyson only offering a 2 year warranty on a product they know has issues?Why is Dyson not offering to fix out of curtosy considering it is a known issue?Do Dyson really think people want to spend £500 on a lamp that is know to last about 2-3 years?

V15 LCD screen not working

Hello all, I just got my new Dyson this week and this evening I started hoovering with it. The screen display was normal for the first five minutes then it just turned grey and white. It didn’t get wet, I didn’t drop it or damage it. Is there an easy fix for this? I have photos if support want to see it. Thank you

No reply to my queries?

To whom it may concern  I ordered a Coanda soothing dryer on the 13th November 2023 as soon as I had received an email that the item was back in stock. Order number is: . The order was processed and I received an email to confirm this. Since I'd received no further correspondence,  I then contacted the digital agent on the Dyson website to query why I hadn't received the item on the 20th November.  The agent mentioned it was due to there being 'no address' on the order. She said she'll update it. I replied saying this doesn't sound right because an address is an mandatory field to add when you are completing the check out process. She did not reply to this and as it was a digital communication I didn't persist further in explaining or asking for an explanation. What I did realise was this seemed as some form of cover up from their side! I was also assured the item will be dispatched soon. By the 24th November, again no item received and no communication from Dyson and so I made contact

Dyson V6 stopping and starting

We have a V6 cordless vacuum. It kept stopping and starting. We have a new battery and have replaced the motor unit. Not clogging but we are having the same issue. any suggestions would be appreciated. We now have nearly the original cost into replacement parts.

Received Vacuum With Missing Part

I recently purchased the Dyson v15 Detect through Walmart, only to discover upon receipt that it was shipped and sold by Dyson through Walmart.Regrettably, the package arrived with a crucial component missing – the battery. Despite raising this concern with Walmart, they directed me to contact Dyson, as they are the designated seller and shipper.My attempts to initiate a return were thwarted by the Walmart reps because of the missing part, and the product itself seemed to exhibit signs of prior use, evident in the dustiness within the dust bin. Hi many years ago bought a Dyson vacuum, came with a soft toy dog named Dyson, my little dog has had it as a companion ever since and it goes with her everywhere. Unfortunately it has deteriorated to the point of needing to dispose of it. Dyson In-car Charger

I purchased an original Dyson in-car charger for my V11 Absolute vacuum cleaner however it was not compatible (both the plug size and output voltage were incorrect).  This was despite the Dyson website indicating the V11 Absolute was compatible.The Dyson website does not specify the model number of the one and only in-car charger that appears on the UK website nor its output voltage.Does Dyson make an in-car charger with output 30.45 volts DC?Thanks.

Does anyone know if an India bought Dyson airwrap will work in UK?

I have a Dyson Airwrap bought in India and I’m moving to UK. Wondering whether the Airwrap will work in UK? I have checked that the operating voltages are the same. But someone I know experienced a short circuit in their room when using an India bought hair dryer (non-Dyson hair dryer).Any thoughts on this would help. Thank you
