Has anyone else received an obviously used vacuum?? Complete with dirt still inside of it?

I just received my “new” Dyson v15 detect vacuum. It arrived with the box half open, Dyson sticker tape almost completely off. Opening the box completely showed that the vacuum had clearly already been used and was just thrown back into the box and then just sent to me.After speaking to “customer service” chat yesterday I was informed that there are no more of those vacuums available and I’d get an email someday when they were available again. I’ve never seen such horrendous service before in my life! I’ve had over 6 Dyson vacuums throughout my life and never encountered anything like this before! Is this the new normal for this company? I’m in shock over this entire experience.

My Dyson V10 is pulsing and has a blockage light despite fully cleaning and replacing filter!

I’ve fully cleaned my vacuum, removed all dust that may be causing a blockage and even replaced the filter but I’m still getting a blockage light warning and the pulsing. I can’t figure out what could be the issue and haven’t found any other topics on here that mention the exact same thing?!

any resultion to V8 cordless serial number not being recognised?

Hi EveryoneI’ve had a V8 animal cordless for ages and have loved it. Unfortunately it’s getting older and I needed to get a new main body and battery which was still cheaper than buying a completely new one. Along with a lot of you I couldn’t find the parts number as the serial number on my old Dyson wouldn't work on the website. When I spoke to customer services they said it wasn’t a valid serial number so they couldn’t help! Today I’ve received the replacement body part, purchased directly from Dyson, and guess what? The serial number is in the same format as the old one and again isn’t recognised on the website. Essentially I’m wondering if anyone has been able to resolve this as I’d like to register it. Any help or info gratefully received. TIA.

Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra Brushead

Hey all: I was cleaning my Dyson ball animal 3 Extra for the first time tonight and noticed in the brush head a red button to get the brush head out. however, that is all that comes out and I need tips on reaching the red “claw” like plastic things attached to the motor assembly. There are all sorts of hair and stickers I want to get at but the red button only releases the casing(?) I want to say and leaves the main part in the way. any tips or advice would be great! Paul

Start allergy after buying Dyson PH04

Hi everyone from cold Russia. I already bought Dyson PH04 Purifier at Saturday, and after lunch it start very strong allergy, my nose is clogged.Two days later my sympathy had not changed and I was forced to turn it off. What do you recommend doing? What is the reason for this reaction of the body?I bought this cleaner on the contrary to combat spring allergies, which will begin in about a month. But it turned out the other way around: the device itself began to cause allergies.

loud noise on v8 new dyson model

when attach the main head no matter what setting on carpet or hard floor it makes a loud rumbling sound ,now dyson have change this head already but I only got this hoover just before Christmas should it be doing ,also thinking of going into electrical shop and testing there's out as I've been wanting a dyson for years and so far not impress

Battery replacement return

After troubleshooting my Dyson V7, it seems I need to replace my battery. I have heard from various people that sometimes this does not solve the problem. My question is, if I purchase a new battery and it doesn’t work, can I then return it and get my money back or something like credit for a new vacuum purchase?

DYSON Fan - AM06 "Self Rotate" when it's not Turn On.

Hi, Dyson Fan UsersAnyone encounters this issue before - Fan “Turn” or “Rotate” by itself when it’s not turn on.I had contacted DYSON Customer Service, but they could not do anything (Main reason - Warranty expired)It’s not whether the Warranty is still valid or not, but is it safe to use it? or when no one at home, will this cause Fire Hazard?Singapore DYSON Customer Service only consider “COST” if they need to check it as Warranty Expired (They cannot determine the Cost until they confirm it!) Hope DYSON could support it.

Dyson Small Ball UP15 HEAD NOT SPINNING, NO PARTS AVAILABLE

My mother in law absolutely loves her Small Ball. Sadly the head stopped working a while ago. It’s been Out of stock for ages on Dyson’s website.We’ve tried contacting Dyson but they all say the same, head will be back in stock soon.Months passed and head is still unavailable. Does Dyson do this on purpose so people were buying new machines instead? Or is there some problem with stock? We just don’t know what to do with it. Should we wait or just get a new vacuum. Have to mention though, my mother in law loves the vacuum but the cord is horrible. Why have they made the cord on this model so stiff so rigid. The worst thing about this vacuum cleaner. My mother in law doesn’t even mind the noise as much as the doesn’t like the cord.

Hi,I would like know if your software team has any plans to integrate the MyDyson app with 3rd party apps like SmartThings, Aqara or any other home automation apps.Right now, it seems that the app only partnered with Siri, Alexa, and Google Home, but it would be grateful if Dyson adds more partners.

Fluffy Optic Issues and Availability

Haven’t had my V12 Detect Slim for long but recently went to clean the Fluffy Optic head because hair was getting tangled around the wheels etc. After removing the brush bar I found that there was hair caught around the locking cap so pulled it apart to clear it. It became apparent that hair seemed to have melted/fused into something plastic around the axle. I contacted Dyson and they viewed the issue through my phone and because they didn’t have a part available she suggested that I return the whole machine to them or take it to my local repairer. Bit reluctant to return the whole thing when there is only one part required. I checked with my local repairer and he said that if Dyson didn’t have the part then neither would he so it was pointless to take it to him. I am just wondering if the brush bar for the LED Slim Fluffy is the same as the one in my Fluffy Optic? Also wondering what they would do if I did send the whole thing back to them, how long would I be without a vacuum

vacuum attachments - adding magnets

Add tiny magnets to attachments and then store your attachments anywhere you have a thin sheet of metal on a wall. No need for any plastic attachment holder. Half inch round disc magnets work great and look elegant (if you see them at all). Amazon charges $10.88 for 20. Screws are extra (need tiny 1/2” long wood screws). Attach about 1.5” down from connecting end of attachment so does not interfere with connecting with vacuum. Then get any thin sheet metal (hardware store perforated steel sheets work great … maybe 1/8” thick plates used for construction).

I am a hairdresser and have now gone through 3 Dyson’s. They are cutting out when I try to blow dry hair, I have done all the troubleshooting and seem to be getting nowhere with Dyson. Has anyone else had this issue

Can I put HEPA filter to my V12 Detect Slim Absolute?

Hello, I’ve just bought Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute which comes with a regular (non-HEPA) filter. Is the HEPA filter for the Dyson V12 Detect Slim compatible with my Dyson model?
