What is the Dyson policy for newly purchased faulty Airwrap ?

Hello,

I recently purchased a brand new Dyson airwrap Hs05 in Cyprus. After using it twice it stopped working and the red light started flashing. Although still clean, I cleaned the filter as recommended. The issue continued with the white light now flashing and the red one flashing. The product was taken to the local Dyson service to check it.

Unfortunately the local Dyson distributor does not accept to exchange the faulty product with a new one, but has just offered to replace the main body with another one of different colors!

How can I be sure that this is not refurbished since I recently paid for a brand new set?

is this some that Dyson advises for a brand new product used only twice?!?!
