Cordless V12 Product Return Frustration! What Can I do?

Hello, I purchased a Cordless V12 from the official website recently and I decided to return the purchase. I filed a return request form and waited for 48 hours, but I did not get any response from Dyson! Then I filed a request again and waited for another 48 hours. Still I didn’t hear anything back! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in the US. Can anyone help with this???? (Moderation edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)

Wand Issues - Cordless V10

Recently we have had issues connecting the main vacuum brush (or any other accessories) to the wand. There doesn’t seem to be anything blocking access, but it won't fully click into place and therefore won't work. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything that can be done besides replacing the wand? If replacing the wand is the only solution, will any color work? (our replacement is currently out of stock and we need a functioning vacuum soon).

Cordless V7 Replacement Battery Guarantee - Feedback

Paid out £65 for a replacement battery for my 3rd Dyson vacuum in 17 years only to now find Dysons guarantee is only a year for replacement batteries! Theoretically I could have bought 2 generic batteries for this price or even a cheaper throwaway vacuum cleaner BUT I trusted Dysons good name & ordered the official replacement. How on earth can this be right? A 2 year guarantee on a battery with a new vacuum however only 12 months on the same item but bought as a replacement? For the price paid Dyson batteries should be guaranteed for longer or at least last longer. Sorry Dyson but you have lost a customer, other companies not only offer 5 year guarantee with their cordless vacuums BUT also offer 2 batteries. Goodbye Dyson you've had enough of my money!

V11 Cordless Absolute screw-in battery - erroneous email info re. availability of replacement

I have now had 2 emails stating the screw-in replacement battery is back in stock, but when I click through, it is still showing out of stock. I realise there are global supply issues, but it would be useful to not receive ‘back in stock’ alerts for something that is not back in stock. I can only guess that it is a technical issue, but I would like a confirmation and/or to know if anyone else is having the same experience.

Are the chargers on older cordless vacuum cleaners compatible with much newer models?

I used to have still have a DC14 and it plugs in and charges very handily.  WOuld a V8 charge on the same structure?I am certainly not going to buy a V8 if it does not.

Cordless Outsize+ stock issue

I have purchased FOUR Outsize+ cordless machines, for myself and as gifts for friends.  I need to purchase spare parts and accessories, especially a Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head, but almost every part including this one is ALWAYS out of stock.  ALWAYS.  I add my email to be notified when a part is back in stock, and NEVER get an email from you.  NEVER.  I think you make an amazing product but I can’t see buying anything from Dyson again if I can’t get spare parts and accessories.

Cordless - Outsize+ brush bar not spinning

So I have two tickets in about this, figured I would ask the community as Dyson seems to be ignoring my tickets and addressing the fact that this machine has issues with the wand breaking constantly. has anyone else had the following issues The spin brush stops working in the XL cleaner head while vacuuming. When it stops, the vacuum keeps running as normal, once I let go of the trigger, it doesn’t work again for 5-10 seconds. Once it starts up again, the brush spins sometimes, but dies again within 10-20 seconds. The head works fine when connected directly to the bin, so I know it’s the wand that’s broken yet again. I have disassembled the cleaner head, cleared out dust, hair etc, nothing has fixed it. The wand needs replaced, yet it’s always out of stock (I wonder why) This is the second wand I need replaced as the first one lost suction at the bin due to it becoming loose, now this time it appears the metal connector is having issues between the cleaner head or the bin. The troubles

Cordless V10 Animal - Pet hair stuck in stick | Suggestions?

Hi all -- new member here!I recently purchased the V10 cordless animal vacuum and it typically works really well, but I keep getting clumps of dog hair caught in the stick -- the hair never makes it to the bin, which means I have to keep unclogging the stick. Cordless V11 motor - How can I identify it is genuine?

I own a V11 stick. Is there a way I can make sure the motor is the same one which came with the new one.Is there a serial number or so of the motor with is associated with the vacuum stick’s serial number.I want to make sure the motor was not tampered with, when it was repaired.(Moderation edit - Title Updated)

Cordless - Dud charger after 2.5 years!

Just for information the charger on my V7 vacuum cleaner went dud after two and a half years of use.   I was sent a new one free of charge, which works, but the initial diagnosis of a dud battery was mistaken.

Cordless - New battery not accepting charge

The battery of my V7 was not accepting charge and had therefore run out.  I have bought and fitted a new battery but the same problem continues.  The machine works off the charge already in the battery but will soon run out.  It looks as though I have wasted the cost of the new battery and I am no further forward. (Moderation Edit - Tags added/Category Updated)

Dyson V15 HEPA filter - help with purchasing?

The HEPA filter for my Dyson V15 Detect vacuum has been on back order is since I bought my vacuum, ages ago.  Out of desperation, I bought one from Amazon which was advertised as suitable for the V15,  When it arrived yesterday, I noticed it wasn’t the same color and says Dyson animal on it.  Can I use this on my V15 even thought it’s not the HEPA one.  Where, when and how can I get an original HEPA filter?

My Mother-in-law is religious with cleaning. She’s methodical with hoovering, never misses an area of carpet or hard wood. She’s against any vacuum that isn’t a Hoover. To my pleasure, her Hoover broke and she HAD to borrowed our Dyson. This is the result after one pass. She’s a convert. Already ordering a V15! 🤣

Cordless - V7 Animal Brush Head - Broken Wiring

Broken wires #1Broken wires #2Hello All,New to the community and just trying to figure out the best course of action here.I have a V7 Animal SV11 that I bought refurbished several years ago direct from Dyson’s eBay store. We’ve kept it clean and it’s been a champ for us but recently I noticed that when I extended the vacuum flat to go beneath furniture the brush motor shorts out/disengages.I began investigating yesterday and when all else failed decided to disassemble the brush head to trace the wiring. Sure enough, right on the swivel “knuckle” one can see the wires are now nearly completely severed, causing the short I’m experiencing. This makes sense since the most stress on the wire is right where the knuckle bend occurs. When the vacuum is upright or diagonal there is enough wire contact to keep the brush motor engaged, but once it’s leveled out it loses contact and shorts.I believe the brush head part no. is 225800 with the serial being 020317M060184E. If you are storing or transporting your vacuum in cold temperatures (below 3C°) and experiencing cut-out of the motor after 1-2 seconds, the unit is operating as-designed.I was experiencing some problems that are not documented in the manual and I have owned my cordless v8 absolute for 25 months.  At first, I though the battery was bad.  The symptoms were that I would remove the unit from its charging base and all 3 bars would show a fully charged battery.  I would squeeze the trigger and the unit would stop after 1-2 seconds and the battery indicator would display a single flashing blue bar.  It did not matter if a power accessory was attached, or nothing was attached.  It also did not matter if the unit was in MAX SUCTION mode or normal mode.I called Dyson support, and they thought I needed a new battery.  I am glad now that I did not order one.My unit is stored in the garage and for the last several weeks daytime temperatures have been below freezing.  I never “connected the dots” f

lighted cleaner on the Gen 3 cordless - Broken part

My Gen 3 cordless lighted head cleaner is wearing out the plastic bearing located on the removal side of the cleaner itself. It allows the brush bar to vibrate but still operate with a vibration. Dyson has already replaced the cleaning head once inside a 12 month period. Although I have 11 months left on the original 2 year warranty. I’m concerned that after the warranty expires I will be on the hook to replace the head due to as far as I’m concerned to a poor design specifically the material choices for the bearing currently being used.

Stock Availability - Omni-glide+ in the UK?

I am trying to buy an Omni-glide+ which has been showing on the Dyson Website as being out of stock for some time now. I have spoken to Dyson Customer Support who are unable to tell me when it will be in stock. When I asked whether there was a particular reason why it was out of stock they would not or could not say. I asked this question in the hope that it might give some idea when it would be available. All they can suggest is I register an interest which would then lead to me being notified by email which rather mies the point.Does anybody know when it was last available and have any idea why it is out of stock (beyond the obvious)? (Moderation Edit - Tags Updated/Title Updated)

I’ve had my Dyson V8 absolute for a week now. Very disappointed that when using the tools to clean my car the charge only lasted 15 minutes . Is this normal?

Cordless V10 - I wonder if I revise my serial number

My new v10 lasted two weeks before constantly stopping. Wasted several days on WhatsApp showing screenshots and videos. (Don't do that is my advice.) Finally just phoned them. So a new main body turned up today (it seems OK but let’s see) but of course the serial number is different. Do Dyson know that on my account? Cordless V10 hair in the filter - Is a new thing?

Hello, experts. I have a V-10 and it has generally worked very well for pet hair. We have a VERY small house and German Shepherd dog. He sheds like crazy and we vacuum regularly. We have to empty out the compartment 3 or 4 times in one vacuuming session, which is not a problem and also not surprising considering the volume of hair. However, we have a new problem (with the filter) that never used to be an issue. Rather than just a layer of dirt/dust like before, the filter (the little “cap” type at the top of the machine) now has tons of hair in it as well. I feel like this is a problem and not normal. Any ideas as to what might be causing this or what I can do? By the way, we did buy a brand new filter FROM Dyson and it appears to be exactly the same as the old filter. I still have both filters (kept the old one as a backup). Thanks!

v7 battery died so i bought a new one. put it in and it stays on until you pull the battery, the trigger doesn’t work. bought a used motor and can’t even insert the battery. do i have to move something inside the handle? thanks (Edited by moderator - Tags added/Title amended)

Cordless vacuums design for those with arthritic hands

The v12 cordless slim is beautifully lightweight - and the on/off button is good, but the release button at the top the wand attachment - is difficult to use if you have arthritis in your hands. It needs too much pressure within in a relatively small area. That means that I cant use the heel of my hand to press it, and using my thumb is painful. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added)
