HP04 Air quality

Hi everyone I’m ganesh recently bought my first Dyson hp04 . I want to know I had cooling fan on whole night after I woke up 8am I checked my Dyson app it’s showing air quality-fair . Does it do automatically or do I need to change options to purify air ? Thanks advance

Air quality graph not showing and innacurate temperature

Hi I just purchased my Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde however the air quality graph on the machine is not showing and the temperature shown is accurate. screenshot below from app to show discrepancy between indoor stats and outdoor.

HP09 Gives off VoCs in Heat Mode?

I just purchased the HP09 Dyson Formaldehyde Heat/Cool/Purifier. I’ve noticed that when I turn on heat mode the VoCs increase from 1-4 going from good air quality to Fair air quality. Is this normal? Maybe because it’s new? I’ve definitely linked it to the heat mode as with it off for a few hours the VoCs improve then mins after I turn on the heat mode the VoCs jump up. If it is because it’s new how long should it run before that goes away? I know when you have the heater off for several months and you turn on the first time their is a odor, maybe it’s something like that? Anyone else experience this issue?

Hello! Just a few features that would be very nice to have. Need to be able to control machines from a web interface / web page from web browsers, so that they could be controlled from desktop computers as well.More integrations such as with IFTTT would be really useful.Need an option to get notifications/alerts as emails as well, such as filter replacements and malfunctions, not just as mobile notifications.There are no Android widgets for the mobile app.It would be convenient to be able to choose the app's home screen so that the first screen that opens up could be the remote controller screen. Thanks!

How to adjust on-screen display brightness

Dear Team, I have recently purchased two Dyson Air Purifiers (TP07) at New Delhi, India. I noticed that during the day, the screen display is dimmed and at night it is clearly visible. My mother and father are struggling to read and see the display clearly during the daytime. Is there any way the display brightness can be adjusted ? I shall really be thankful for your suggestion. Will using a humidifier in the same room as an HP04 cause the purifier to activate with PM2.5 and PM10 readings going into the 30s and fan on at 10?(Edited by moderator – Tag amended/added)

can i get notifications about air quality from my air purifier and heater?

The monitor is good but I only remember to look at it every now and then, missing periods of bad air where I could have acted, opened a window or something like that. Wouldn’t it make sense for a notification to be sent if the air got really bad? Does this exist? It can certainly notify me when the filters want replacing so it doesn’t seem out of the question.

App button greyed out - Help

Hello, my scheduling button is greyed out and I can’t use it. Does anyone know what this means? …I’ve not changed anything in the app and the machine hasn't been turned off. I can also still use the remote. I just can’t use the scheduling.

how to change cool air to warm on auto mode

Hi, I have the DYSON PURIFIER HOT+COOL FORMALDEHYD model and I have it on auto all day and night. My problem is it continuously blows cool air and can get very draughty during the day and the room gets cold in the night. So recently I’ve turned it off at night time but surely this shouldn’t be the case. Is there a way I can adjust the temperature so it’s warm at night and preferably during the day. VOC readings

Hi I have an issue with the VOC levels that are reported as a number from 1 to 9+ scale. What amount of VOC in ppm is present actually for each level in this scale ? This is important to me as an end user to know the absolute numbers that I am comfortable. Dyson categorically say that 0- 3 is good, 4-6 is fair and so on but it is a relative scale based on what amounts of VOC present actually, I don’t know ? This is unlike the formaldehyde levels which are given in ppm units. Appreciate if someone with the knowledge could enlighten us here. Thank you.

DP04 Maintenance

My DP04 HEPA is starting to produce a high frequency sound on speeds 1-3 and it’s been getting worse over time. Is there a way to fix this issue? I’ve had the unit for a little over a year so it seems very premature to have to replace it. (Edited by moderator – tags added)

fan doesnt turn off when temperature is reached

I have and hot and cold pure. I set the temperature at 20 degrees and set it going. The room can then get to 25 + without the fan switching off (I know this as it heats my daughters nursery and she has a room thermometer.) does anyone know why this is happening. It just doesn’t seem to turn itself off when the temperature is reached? (Edited by moderator – tags amended)

Dyson Purifier Auto mode - Broken

Using auto mode my air quality is good and below the auto target but my hot/cold formaldehyde HP09 doesn’t go onto standby/idle. Thought that this was the purpose of using auto mode. There’s still airflow even though the app shows airflow as off. I’ve only had the machine for a day and still fathoming it out. (Edited by moderator – tags amended)

Purifier - Increase in VOC levels

Hi I have the Dyson in our bedroom and noticed we had very high VOC levels from 10pm onwards until we got up in the morning. We took away a memory foam mattress topper and then for the next few night it was on green. Since then it has spiked in the early hours of the morning around 4am then comes down. What could be causing this? Our room also shows very high humidity which is over 70 every evening. Yesterday we used a dehumidifier and it came down but there was still a spike in the VOC reading. Does the humidity of the room affect it?We also notice that if anyone has a shower or bath the VOC reading will go up is this normal? Thank you Jenny

Change Fan Speed on Heat Setting on Dyson Hot & Cool

Although I can change the fan speed on the Cool setting of my Purifier Hot & Cool, I can’t change it when it’s on the Heat setting - it just blasts out, even if I move the fan speed to 1.Is this normal!?(Edited by moderator – tags added)

Purifier - NO2 sensor and humidity

HelloReally happy with our purifier but have found that on auto when opening the nearby outside door the NO2 will always spike to very high for a short period before settling down to normal. This happens consistently and I have read elsewhere that this could be due to the sensor being confused by the significant difference in humidity when the outside air comes in, before stabilising.I do not think there are big sources of NO2 in our garden and it always settles down after some time. Does anyone else have this? If my theory is correct could Dyson correct the software to smooth this kind of spike out as it is annoying when it suddenly goes on full blast! any thoughts welcome :-)

Auto mode on standby

We recently bought a Hot+Cold Formaldehyde Purifier. The air quality in our home is measuring surprisingly well considering our city location, so we have had the machine on standby but on ‘continuous monitoring’.Should the air quality worsen, will the auto mode turn the machine on to start purification? Or would we need to leave the machine on for this to work? Is there any benefit to leaving the machine on at all if the air quality is good and the temperature is mild (British Septembers don’t usually need fans or heaters!)? Any thoughts welcome!

Purifier - VOC level explained/help

Hi, our purifier is in the nursery which has a furniture set producing voc constantly. The room is about 12 m2. The air quality always show fair and goes down very slowly. The purifier has been on for 24 hrs now and the voc level went from mid fair to lower fair only. I was wondering how long does it take for the machine to purify the air? The room is isolated- door and windows are close. Thanks

Hi, For some time now, my purifier has been reporting deadly levels of PM. Even when it's on on full steam for a while. The room it's in is relatively small, and the window is closed at all times. NO2 and Voc are fine.Any ideas why that's happening?
