V7 Post filter

I've had the V7 for several years and only needed to change the battery. I ordered and received new filters including a post filter. I now realize looking at the photos that my particular model doesn't have a post filter. Does anyone know if I can retro fit a post filter. It would seem like a logical upgrade.I am an engineer of sorts but without taking the vacuum apart if like to know first.Thanks.

Dyson Supersonic bought as a gift in Japan does not work with Canadian voltage (despite being told by salesperson that it would). What can I do?

Title says it all. Was in Japan and wanted to buy a Supersonic Hairdryer for my wife as a gift. I asked the sales people (multiple) if the dryer would work with Canadian voltage, and both of them categorically said ‘Yes’ (they even pulled up a chart). We got home and found out it does not in fact work. Called Dyson Canada and they told me there’s nothing they can do, and to call Dyson Japan. The phone number provided on the website for Dyson Japan is not in service, and the email provided is not monitored.  In summary, I explicitly asked if the hairdryer would work as a precondition to my decision to purchase. Was told ‘Yes’ by multiple Dyson representatives.  It turned out to be a lie, and Dyson is washing their hands of it.  So my wife is left with a $500 paperweight as a Christmas gift.  If this is how Dyson stands by their products and treats their paying customers, I imagine they’ll understand when I never buy anything from them ever again.

Where's my refund?

I join the many hundreds who have not been able to get Dyson to give them their refund. They received my vacuum cleaner (in excellent condition – I never opened the box). They acknowledged receipt of the vacuum cleaner and promised a refund IN DECEMEBER. I continue to call and get nothing but “my system is down at the moment, I’ll call you back” or “so sorry, your refund is in process we’ve had problems with our system.” It’s RIDICULOUS. Terrible customer support.

Switch barrels on an air wrap?

Hi there,I bought my wife an Air Wrap for her birthday. Being fairly uneducated on these products, I bought the ‘long barrel’ version from John Lewis which she didn’t actually need. 30 days have passed since my purchase and John Lewis won’t exchange or return. I saw that there are replacement attachments you can buy, so is it as simple as buying the shorter barrel attachments and replacing them?Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Unable to view Registered Products on Dyson Website. I accidently removed a new Dyson V15 Vacuum from my account. Now, I am unable to reregister the machine. Every time I try, it says it is successful, but will not populate. Please see screen shot attached.

promo codes not working

 I called Dyson and tried live chat x3 and I am still left dissatisfied and so just thought I would send an email to let you know Dyson  tech fares in real life. I was interested in purchasing the accessories for long Airwrap at €165. Input into basket and didn’t purchase I was going to investigate discount with Revolut which I had read about. Anyway the next day I received several emails with content saying something still in my basket and get €15 off of purchase today. I was tempted and put the promo code in but no discount came off. I spent time trying it several times logged on to chat who wanted me to send a screen shot of the offer but to do this I needed a ‘paper clip’ to appear on the chat. I tried this for ages and ages nothing happened so I gave up - this is what I mean when saying tech issues. Next day same thing o received another plethora of emails with discount code tried again nothing got onto chat same as before I tried with different device - nothing. Product quality for parts used in Dyson Vacuum cleaner

I purchased this product in India, as I was using this in US for a long time (5-6 years) and did not see issues with the services or the product quality.My experience with Dyson, is that product experience is same but at the cost we think its quality is bad.I bought the product 2 years back and in this period the soft roller brush got spoiled since it was in warranty they sent my a replacement, now its been 14 months and that  its again got spoiled and this time the plastic parts just cracked.Last month spent 6K to get a batter replace now they are expecting me to pay 3.4K for the brush.we pay 50K for this vacuum and it does not last even 3-4 years its really shame, I think the support staff needs to do a better job in understand the customer and his frustration with the product.

when can I get a refund for the item that I returned in July in 2023?

It’s been almost 8 months since I returned a 40mm air barrel. Whenever I contacted the customer service via chat, emails, and over phones, they said it would be refunded between 24-48 hours. HOWEVER, it’s March 1 today.Why does it take forever? I literally talked with Customer Service 100 times so far. How can I be refunded? They always asked me about the tracking number, case ID, and the receipt, and I sent all of them upon request. Is it possible to get my money back? My case ID is  ID 36284284.

I don't know why, but one of the packages (free of charge) was delivered on February 21. Dyson Customer Support - worst experience in my lifetime

I have been a huge Dyson fan since I purchased my first vacuum, years and years ago. I have had nearly every model plus their hair styling products. I have never had to contact customer support until this last Gen 5 outsize model and so did not know how terrible it really is. I contacted them in November 2023 & after several different attempts was told I would receive an email with the shipping label. I did not receive this and contacted them every 3 weeks, after December, every 2 weeks, and then in Feb. 2024 every week. I have offered to pay for the part from day one and even with this I am still waiting and we are almost in March. Because of my experience with them I am looking for a different brand and hoping I can find something as good. I love my products, I have never returned a single one but cannot support a company that has this level of incompetency in one of the most important aspects of the business.I have given up trying to get this resolved through Dyson. Terrible Return Service

Please help!!!!I returned a Dyson Supersonic.  Brand new, never opened.  Christmas gift, purchased the wrong one.  Returned it the day after I received it.Dyson received it 12/13/2023. Is it possible to reach USA-based customer support?

I have purchased 3 Dyson products in my life. A vacuum, the air wrap styler, and a fan. All three have broken down in less than 4 years. Most recently, I have tried to get support for my TP01 fan which is giving me an error message. I spent 60+ minutes online chatting with a customer support agent (Moderation edit - personal details removed) who didn’t understand my questions, took super long to respond between messages, and responded in English that didn’t always make sense. It’s frustrating enough to have yet another Dyson product stop working, but then to deal with unhelpful customer support just adds to it. Is there a direct phone number for support agents who are based in the US?

Grinding Noise Coming from Pure Humidity and Cool

I have two Dyson Pure Humidity and Cool machines.  One is a little over a year old.  The other is just a few months old.  They are both up to date on deep cleaning.  The older machine just had its filters replaced.They are both intermittently creating a grinding type noise.  When the noise begins it will continue until the machine is turned off.  Later when the machine is turned back on the noise  will eventually return and remain noisy until turned off.Please advise what can be done.Thank you.

tube pinches at attachment joining

Hi like user Mark N We have had in use the below model of portable Dyson vacuum cleaner, and since purchase have had no issues until now. Due now to perhaps to use, the tube from the vacuum unit/collector has some «play» in it, with the result it now presents a danger in use. With the result of this waggle gap it pinched a chunk of skin from a finger, very sore! please advise how this can resolved Thanks you Angela Whistler

Dyson Airstrait

Hi all, I have searched a lot online including this community. The Airstrait has been my godsend for my hair… it used to take an hour to blow dry and then flat iron my hair and thanks to this device a mere 15 mins of work for beautiful, straight, shiny hair. My dilemma is that I plan to go to Japan for 10 days. I have read my device will not work or don’t use a converter etc… but I cannot imagine doing the old fashion way to blow dry and then flat iron which will take longer and waste my time. I definitely don’t want to do anything’ and let the hair go, which my hair will turn into an untamable beast of frizz and poof.  I want to know if anyone in the community dared to take it and make it work. I don’t want the generic comment as no will not work, or no converter, or no it’s made specially for your country only. Thanks!

Filter should have been dirty and wasn't v7

I have cleaned my v7 filter several times, and was overdue for another cleaning. When I took it out and ran it under water nothing happened. The filter was clean and it definitely should not have been. At the same time it stopped charging and there is a blue light only if I dock it and pull the trigger. Then it runs a few seconds and stops while the trigger is still depressed. I changed the battery, thinking that was the issue. Nope. Any suggestions?
