Is there a low-reach adaptor tool for the Gen5detect?

I've bought the low reach tool with the ID: 971435-01 but it does not fit the Gen5detect and I know other people have had the same problem. In Nov 2023, Dyson were offering the Gen5detect in two colourways, identical except one version offered the low-reach adaptor tool as standard. Since it’s highly unlikely that they offered a tool that wouldn’t fit the gen 5 detect, can anyone give me the correct part number for the low reach adaptor tool? Thanks

Dyson Outsize Wall Mount

Just bought the Dyson Outsize last week for my new home. I installed the wall mount by following the instructions & video and the top screw is not secure. It moves side to side but cannot go in any further or else it will damage the plastic mount. Once the vacuum is on the mount it pulls it off 1 or 2 mm from the wall. Is this normal? I’m worried one of these days it's going to come crashing down… Photo attached! Thanks!

How can I get a single screw for my V11 without being charged £80 by Dyson!

I have a V11 cordless dyson - the brush head ‘’ball’’ has lost a screw so its a bit loose - rang Dyson customer services twice and they say they dont send spare screws but insist I buy a new brushead for £80 - a) thats a rip off and b) this makes a mockery of their environmental policy - it would be so much more environmentally friendly to send a spare screw… Any suggestions welcome! Dyson V8 Vacuum Sucks Too Hard On a Rug

Hi, We have just received a Dyson V8 vacuum as a wedding gift, it works great on our hardwood floors, however we have a relatively thin (1/8’’) rug that the motorhead attachment gets completely stuck on. From research it seems that the vacuum is sucking too hard and that maybe not enough airflow is getting in to the vacuum so it stops completely. I have tried calling customer support, but is there an easy fix for this? unfortunately both suction modes do not work. If there is a different attachment we could buy to make it work that would work as well.

SV12 cordless vacuum dead, battery shows 3 solid blue lights

Hi folks, our own Dyson vac is behaving but my mother-in-law’s V10 / SV12 has died. No sound at all from it but the battery shows 3 blue lights when the trigger is pulled. Trigger feels normal. I’m not scared of disassembling it. Any suggestions as to what the fault might be, or how to diagnose it further? Cheers.

PH04 Problems with Automatic Mode and Problems with Dyson Customer Center in ChinaI am Korean.I live in China and bought a Dyson PH04 air purifier in China.Once, there was a strange noise from the vent, so I ordered it to be worn at the center.I almost wanted to fight with the telephone consultant staff, so I finally got a new one.However, the newly replaced product also had problems.In automatic mode, the machine works very loudly even when the sensor light is already green. I had the center wear number 2 for this problem.The result of the inspection at the center said, "The product is not in product condition."Strong winds can occur even when the sensor is green.However, I didn't understand how strong the wind was (10/10) even when it was already green. The Chinese staff repeatedly answered like a machine to see if there was a Dyson customer service manual or something.I recorded the situation of the product. light cycle app is very inconsistent in connecting to the light

The android app for the light cycle lamps is very poor at reliably connecting to them. The only way I can get it to work much of the time is to clear the cache and forcibly close the app and then relaunch it. If I use it once on Monday. I invariably have to open it, clear the cache, forcibly close it, and then relaunch it to connect it on Tuesday. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Absolutely shocking service regarding Airwrap

I bought my Airwrap in Nov 2021. A year later, it stopped working, rang up and I'd to get it repaired, thankfully it was under warranty.It was returned & I presumed the warranty would start from when it was repaired. How wrong was I.Less than 15 months later it developed the same fault. Annoyed at it breaking again, I rang customer services. Basically told its out of warranty, nothing we can do unless you want to pay £99 to have it repaired or 20% off a new one. I've forked out £450 for it to last 3 years and 4 mths,and develop the same fault that was allegedly fixed!!!I've had cheaper hairdryers last longer than the airwrap.I always thought Dyson was a good name in the world of electronics & debated for months about buying an airwrap as its an expensive item & expected paying £450 would mean it was of superior quality & endurance, how wrong was I!!.Absolute waste of money, the customer service is shocking. is anybody using their Dyson Purifier/heater /cooler and the data provided by it to monitor/control the conditions in a room to combat mould/condensation issues?

I recently bought the wifi enabled purifier and after downloading the app , i realised how useful the the built in sensors on the unit are for monitoring the temperature and humidity in a bedroom which regularly experiences condensation and high humidity.The bedroom itself is north facing 9.5 square metres and my 2 teenage daughters sleep and virtually live in the room. ( high occupancy)The typical hole in the wall natural ventilation is not providing sufficient air changes per hour to cope with the amount of moisture they expelling into the air in the room every particularly at night time when they are asleep so each morning we are greeted to a film of moisture on their double glazed metal windows.I have studied condensation risk in buildings and learned how to use the WUFI software which allows you to analyse the risk of condensation and as a byproduct mould in your building. Dyson not sending exchange pure hot+cool

Hey everyone, seems like a lot of people have been frustrated with Dyson customer service as of late…looks like I’m joining the crowd. I sent in a faulty hot+cool fan for an approved exchange and the unit was received by Dyson on March 1. Was told 10-14 business days to receive replacement from that date. At the end of the month and still nothing to show with not even tracking info for the replacement unit. I’ve contacted the support multiple times promising a resolution in 24-48hrs with an email with my replacement order…NONE of this has happened. There is absolutely no customer service! Any advice?

my dyson fan pure cool machine tells me that the air in my room is in the severe range.

Even though I have changed the filter in my fan and followed the deep clean schedule, it shows on the app that my air quality is in the severe range. I haven’t been able to find any way to reset it and get an accurate reading of the air quality. There is absolutely no reason for it to be reading the air as severe. I’ve tried moving it from room to room, and also taking it to my patio, and it gives the same reading wherever it is. Does anyone have any ideas on why it’s doing this and what I can do to fix it?

What does Dyson do when they lose your vacuum when repairing?

Hey guys! I have been using Dyson since I was younger and finally bought my own Animal 2 ball. This thing worked for about a month then had an electrical fire smell. Dyson had me send it in to be repaired. I sent my vacuum to Dyson via UPS back on the 27th of October. It’s now the 8th of January and I have no clue where my vacuum is. I have called, emailed, and chatted to only be told the same lie of “someone will reach out to you via email in 24-48 business hours”. WHERE IS MY $600 VACUUM? I would love an update or honestly a new vacuum at this point.Other info, I looked at my Dyson account and a service rep changed my UTAH mailing address it a LAS VEGAS address. Someone in Vegas got my repaired vacuum…DYSON PLEASE GET THIS FIXED!!!!

V12 Slim filter change - at least once a week

My V12 slim cordless vacuum is used for what I’d class as ‘normal’ household cleaning, however in the last 6 months it’s constantly saying the filter needs changing. When I remove the current filter, it’s not particularly coated with dust. This is at least once or twice a week that I’m needing to change the filter - is this normal? For the first few months I didn’t have to change the filter nearly as much. Would be great to here is anyone else is experiencing the same, or if this indicates that there’s a problem with my Dyson.

Hair Dryer Failure

Expensive hair dryer stopped working two months out of warranty. Called customer service who kept me on the phone for 40 minutes and then told me to go to a local Dyson service center. They told me they’ve never seen a problem like mine and they think the power cord needs to be replaced and they don’t have the capability to do it. They said they might be able to later in the year and in the meantime offered me $150 “toward“ a refurbished machine. I found refurbished machines on the Dyson site for $350. So after spending $400 on a hairdryer, I now have to spend another 200 to get a used machine if I still want this dryer . Definitely the classic case of pouring good money after bad. I will go spend that money on another brand first. Very disappointed. Dyson should just send me a refurbished dryer in exchange for mine since they will ultimately fix it and resell it for near the original cost. By the way, why do they have so many refurbished hairdryers? Because the product is deficient!

Switch barrels on an air wrap?

Hi there,I bought my wife an Air Wrap for her birthday. Being fairly uneducated on these products, I bought the ‘long barrel’ version from John Lewis which she didn’t actually need. 30 days have passed since my purchase and John Lewis won’t exchange or return. I saw that there are replacement attachments you can buy, so is it as simple as buying the shorter barrel attachments and replacing them?Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Where's my refund?

I join the many hundreds who have not been able to get Dyson to give them their refund. They received my vacuum cleaner (in excellent condition – I never opened the box). They acknowledged receipt of the vacuum cleaner and promised a refund IN DECEMEBER. I continue to call and get nothing but “my system is down at the moment, I’ll call you back” or “so sorry, your refund is in process we’ve had problems with our system.” It’s RIDICULOUS. Terrible customer support.
