Adding a second Dyson

HiI was in the process of creating a topic to ask how I go about adding a second Dyson to my app, but based off my title input, the community suggested a list of ‘Related topics’ for me to choose from. This is a great feature and I’ve not come across it before. Does the Formaldehyde removes smells?

Hi, I’ve been using my hot and cool formaldehyde for a few months now and have noticed if I have candles or wax melts on, and have my device on at the same time I can hardly smell the candles/wax melts and was wondering if the device removes smells or just toxins in the air? This is not something I was aware of when purchased. I’m happy for it to remove dust etc as it should, but not smells in a room? Can anyone assist? Thanks(Edited by moderator – tags added)

Oscillation wont stop

Hello, I can’t turn my tower fan TP02 oscillation off using the remote or the app. It oscillates even when the fans turned off.Is it a software or hardware problem? Can I reset the machine? Any advice on how I can fix it?

hp04 not humidifying

I set up the humidity target to 70% after one and a half hour running the humidity dropped to 49% this is my second day with the machine… yesterday gave me some weird readings regarding the air quality. I’m thinking that this unit may be broke(Edited by moderator – tags added)

Dyson Purifier Hot+Cold Noises

I recently purchased a Dyson Purifier Hot+Cold unit. I was surprised at some of the noise it produces and wanted to ask if it is normal. I have read the posts about it making a high pitch noise in Auto Mode, which my unit does. At times it is louder than expected. Even the pitch volumes can change at times. It can be “annoying” in a bedroom setting.  Also, the unit makes a noise when it switches from purifying to heating modes, as the air flow changes. It sounds as if the fan is backing up or reversing motion and then restarting. The noise is considerably louder than I would expect from a unit of this price. It reminds me of an old wall AC unit turning on in a hotel room. Is this normal? Any help is appreciated.(Edited by moderator – tags added)

Dyson HP04 overload

About 2 weeks ago. Everytime I turn on my dyson it trips my house breaker after 10 min of usage. I was wondering if this has happen to anybody else.

software not updating

So, I can’t use the “Scheduling your Machine” function on the Dyson app for my HP09 purifier. When I try to click on it it says  This feature is temporarilyunavailableThis will be inactive, until your sottwareinstallation is complete. The icon above willdisplay on your machine while it is installing.Please do not use your machine or switch it off,during this time. I have auto updates on but my purifier isn’t updating. How do I update the software so I can use the scheduling function?

how do I reset the time after a deep clean cycle?

Every time I run a deep clean cycle on my humidifier/purifier, it works for a day.  The next day, the humidifier shuts off, and  prompts for another deep clean cycle.  The countdown timer says over 2000 hours until the next deep clean cycle is recommended, but it only works for a day. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it sometimes works.  Other times, I just have to turn off the humidifier to keep the purifier working.  I've tried turning it on and off.  I've run 4 deep clean cycles in the last two weeks and this problem is still persistent. Dyson customer service was no help.  They suggested holding the power button down, which did nothing.

I have owned my dyson hp02 for a long time. I just got wifi and the app. I turned on the continuous monitoring of the indoor air quality.  It shows no data has been recorded. Any ideas on how to get this function to work?(Edited by moderator – tags added)

PH01 humidity not working

HiI recently stated a deep clean of the water in my machine’s tank as prompted by the App, but accidentally cancelled it near the beginning. Since then the humidity function has been switched off on one part of the App, but on another part it says it still has ages to go til the next deep clean. I’ve tried taking the water tank and filter out and putting them back and doing a reset but nothing’s worked. Any advice please?(Edited by moderator – tags added)

Managing devices in multiple homes

I recently purchased a PH03 air purifier/humidifier. It’s working great. I’m now considering buying one for my second home. In looking at the Dyson app, there doesn’t seem to be a way to setup multiple homes, even though I can add multiple devices. In this case, it’s of interest because the app reports local air quality conditions, and my two homes are in very different locations/climates. Have I missed something? Or can I only specify a single home in the app and all my devices are assumed to be in that single home?   If so, that’s disappointing. I suppose that means I’ll have to manually change the home “location” depending on which house I’m in at the time.(Edited by moderator – tags amended)

Registering more than one machine in the app - How does it work?

Hi I have recently upgraded my older Dyson purifier hot & cool to the latest formaldehyde version. I now have 2 machines and would like to run both of the app but I can't seem to find a setting and the play store won't let me download 2 versions of the app.Can anyone offer a solution as I see this as an issue for the future when people upgrade they will keep the older machine or have more than one machine, upstairs and downstairs...(Edited by moderator – tags amended)

New PH03, deep clean needed immediately?

Good morning everyone, and Merry Christmas!I just unboxed a brand new PH03, shipped from Dyson, and set it up in Auto mode (fan and humidification). Within a few seconds, the on unit display requests a deep clean and the second button glows orange.I looked in the user manual and the icon I’m seeing on the display suggests a Pump Rotor Failure.I started a deep clean (suspicious that this is not the real issue) and now the on board counter display stopped counting down then it got to 59:50.I suspect that this unit is faulty, can anyone confirm?I can’t reach Dyson Support as it’s Christmas Day.

Continous monitoring is on, but not working

I just bought a Dyson Air Purifyer, it’s been running for an hour now.In the app, in settings (“Your machine’s settings”) the “Continuous monitoring” setting is ticked on (the little circle is on the right and has a dark violet colour).However, in the main dashboard, I see no graphs and I get the message “No data has been recorded. You can check the status of continuous monitoring in settings.”.How can I “record data”?(Edited by moderator – tags added)

Cool Link Fan Continuous Oscillation

My Cool link fan continuously oscillates, even when turned off!No response from the remote (other remote functions working correctly) and similarly, no response from the IOS app (oscillation button greyed out).I have changed remote battery and removed/re-added fan from my Wi-Fi(Edited by moderator – tags added)

no airflow through air multipier loop on hot + cool fan

I have had my new Dyson hot + cool formaldehyde fan for about a week, but have noticed that I can’t feel any air flowing through the loop or out from the slit on the inside of the loop. Not sure if this is normal or my fan is faulty? cool air flows from the front of the fan, but if I block the air multiplayer loop with a towel or sheet the airflow remains the same.I would expect this to decrease the airflow if air was been multiplied. any ideas what is happening?
