I have bought several Dyson products with mixed results however my greatest dissatisfaction and disappointment is due to my corrale hair straighteners which at £399 quickly became my back up straighteners to my good ole GHDs - disappointing. Initially over the first year I found that they charged fully but I could not complete a full head of straightening- they lasted less than 20 mins. I asked for advice from Dyson and was told to use them at the lower heat - (why bother having a higher heat point) but did little to help the problem. I was pointed toward the am troubleshooting guide etc etc - however they only seemed to last whether periods until I kind of stopped using them - only very once in a while and then not at all for a few months. On Sunday I needed a pair of cordless straighteners so. I charged them and took them with me. They lasted approx 90 seconds and went off. I thought oh, must not have charged them properly - alas I charged them again. Full charge. Green light. Full battery check! Turned on and again less than 90 seconds. How can this be worth £399? They are out of warranty - so I will be offered the indignity of paying for their repair Despite them never having been satisfactory.
I was/am very seriously considering the new air straighteners having tried them recently but if they follow the same pathway. Does anyone have any insight into their functionality and longevity? Should I stick with the GHDs that have lasted far beyond these Dyson straighteners?
thank you
