Using smart voice control with your Dyson connected machines
I have one of the air purifier fans but I feel a little let down that this feels like a first generation smart home gadget, I want plugins/skills/api’s to really integrate this fan into my smart home, I run homekit and home assistant and as far as I know other than some sketchy hacky github projects I can’t do much with the fan outside of using the app to control it or use the voice shortcut I created in the app but that has very limited abilities beyond custom scene settings and even then you have no real control over oscillation beyond on/off. any chance one of the devs can convince a product owner that greater interoperability with the wider smart ecosystem is a win for everyone. Imagine a world where you wake up and the fan is warming the room gently so you don’t have to have a shower and return to a cold room. Hello all! I made this topic to see how many others would like to see the integration of Apple’s HomeKit to the Dyson smart fan ecosystem. I know Siri Shortcuts exist and there’s third party apps that can integration your Dyson with Apple’s HomeKit but I would love the option to be added so it “Just works”. Anyone else have opinions on this?
Hello I’m disabled and need to use the voice commands to control my fan. When it’s in heating mode I can’t get it to go back to cooling. I say “Alexa turn on cooling” but no charge, if I lower the temperature by voice that doesn’t do anything. I also don’t like on night mode the light doesn’t go off still very bright moon ☹️(Moderation edit - title updated)

My previously connected Dyson Pure Humidify+Cool™ PH01 (White/Silver) started showing as “offline” in Google Home app a few weeks ago, and I tried to reconnect Dyson app to Google home, resetting the purifier and re-adding it to the Dyson app, and now when I’m trying to add Dyson app to Google home it says “Dyson linked” first and then “Something went wrong, please try again” and nothing is added.Is this something to do with the device or Google home?
Feature Request: could the airflow direction be added to the Alexa skill? Context, I have a routine that I run which includes turning my HP07 on, enabling night and auto mode but I’d prefer it to reverse the airflow for bedtime as part of this which currently isn’t an option. So it was all fine and dandy before the Dyson major app redesign and update but now my tp01 devices for the most part no longer work with assistant consistently. I am very technical so if someone has a solution or knows the Dyson api handy perhaps I can quickly create my own app for my Google assisnt devices but what is happening is the same thing the new redisgned app has been doing since day one. Android devices here so maybe just an issues with Android but perhaps iOS as well. Anyways exactly like the app since it was redisgned i ask Google to make a change in a setting and it says trouble connecting right now please try again. This is about 70 percent of the time. Hi everyone, My TP04 Pure Cool just arrived. Was super excited to get it but to be honest I haven’t had the best experience because my first unit was faulty and it’s taken over a month to get my second unit. I turned it on (and it works.. yay!) but it’s not as cool/cold as I thought it would be. The advertising looks a like it cools down a whole room but it hasn’t made a difference in mine yet. How effective do you find yours? Do you need to sit right in front of it? Thanks, Maree
I have successfully setup and am using Alexa voice control with my original HP02. I just bought a 2nd HP02 for another room and want to use Alexa there as well but cannot seem to figure out how to get Alexa to differentiate between two of the same HP02 devices.
