Dyson DC25 brush motor not spinning - Any advice on repairing?

My 9 year old Dyson Ball DC25 brush motor is not spinning.  The brush quit spinning as a hair ball was stuck on it.   I removed the brush and removed/cleaned per the steps listed on Dyson’s site.  Reassemble the brush and pressed the power button and the brush was not spinning.  I pressed the reset brush button next to the power button and it still not spinning. What are the failure/break points that might have the issue that I can check next?  Switch? Relay? brush motor?  Please advise.

Dust blowing out of corded Dyson DC43

Having a serious issue with our Dyson DC43 corded vacuum.  Every time I vacuum, the entire outside body is covered in dust!  I have to wash the machine body and wash the filter after each use. Thinking it was a filter issue, I bought new filters for both the Hepa and the smaller centre one.  This has not helped at all. I’ve spoken with Dyson who tried to troubleshoot twice.  Their suggestion was to mail it to either Calgary Alberta or Ontario. (I’m in BC) There are no repair depots in BC. It is not under warranty so I have to pay for shipping to and from just to get the repair estimate.  Not happy about doing that.   Wondered if anyone in this community had any useful suggestions.   Can see a puff of dust coming out of the side of the Dyson where the Hepa filter is also when I start it up.  Tempted to order another filter but I don’t think that much dust should be blowing out from there in the first place. I’ve tried to check every seal I could find to no avail.  Any suggestions what I

Filter not drying

I have a BIG BALL ABSOLUTE vacuum.  I washed the filter 2 days ago and it’s nowhere near dry.  It’s in a well ventilated area but it has been raining the last day.  Dyson customer service “experts” no help at all.  Any suggestions (I don’t have a drying cupboard that I’ve seen others suggest)??

Dyson upright DC65

I have the Dyson DC65 and need to replace the ball filter. I've been on the waitlist since the filter was out of stock. I was emailed and told that Dyson would no longer carry the filter but another was suggested. Has anyone put the HEPA post filter Part no. 920769-03 in a DC65? This was the part suggested in the email but I'm wondering if this is an automatic thing sent by the company or if it would actually work in my vacuum. I've used a cheaper knock off from amazon, but it makes a loud noise in my vacuum and I don't think it works as efficiently. This is frustrating that Dyson is no longer making the part I need.

How to deep clean the internals of an old Big Ball

I have a 5 year old Big Ball Animal (so warrantee long gone they way of the dinosaurs...but still far too good to justify replacing).  I’ve cleaned the filter - even replaced it after 4 years which did wonders.  I de-hair the spinning brush attachment pretty much fortnightly, try to keep the container empty...but it is getting less and less performant over time, transparent bits are not so transparent, etc. There is build up in tubes, the cylinder, all the internals - it’s just not a new vacuum and the official guides are more day to day keep good: not serious deep cleaning.  When new it was actually hard to use because the suction was so strong - now it’s well below half that!I strongly suspect it is going to need a big bucket soaking, swirling, and drying for a couple of weeks to give it another couple of years of life before we eventually replace it.  It may be there is a critical part in there we could look to get a replacement for (although nothing seems to be not working).  By in

Cleaning inside animal ball head

The clear plastic part of the cleaner head has collected a lot of dust and grime. I have removed one part of the brush head but how can I completely remove the brush to clean inside?

V6 Motorbrush

Dear all,  I have a Dyson v6 absolute SV05 (216714-01) (Ean 5025155024911) whose motorbrush for carpet is not working anymore. It looks like the motor itself is broken.I am desperately looking for a dyson or compatible dyson motorhead brush. I already ordered one on Amazon, but it looks like the interface is not compatible. My interface is type C (see enclosed doc) and it looks like is very hard to find this type of connexion. Any help? Thanks in advance.

UP32 BallAnimal Multifloor brush bar not spinning

Hoping someone can help. My brushbar stopped spinning on my Ball Animal multifloor. I took the bar off the cleaner, hoping it was just some stuck hair, but it is not spinning on the end cap when it is free of the housing. Is it possible to remove the end cap from the brush bar? Or is this a warranty item? I can post pics if that helps? Thanks, Martin

DC54 suction soon becomes muffled and ineffective

I have a DC54 and was using the Dual Mode Suction tool with it, but I found that -- after a few seconds of power on -- the suction sound suddenly changes and becomes “muffled”, and it won’t pick anything up. The suction is really weak.If I remove the head entirely and just suck with the naked metal cylinder, it works okay.But if I put on any head, including the Dual Mode one or the brush-bar, the suction goes weak as described. So it can’t just be blockage in one of the heads.What does this mean and how can I fix it?

How to disassemble Dual Mode Floor Tool Suction Control

Hi. I have a DC54 and I need to disassemble the Dual Mode Floor Tool (part no. 966247-01) to remove an unseen blockage. I have removed the 10 Torx screws, but it won't come apart. What else do I need to do, to open up this component?

Brush Bar Problems - Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Vacuum

Hello Community,My wife bought a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Vacuum in 2020 which MSRP was $699.99.  This was the most we had ever spent on a vacuum.  I will admit that functionally this is the best vacuum that we have ever owned.  We seem to keep having problems with the brush bar it seems to get out of alignment then destroy the plastice becoming more and more out of alignment until it will not function.  We have replaced the whole head assembly, sent in to Dyson, replaced only the brush bar (which is part of the head assy) and most recently sent in again where they replaced the head assembly.  Considering the age of this and the value of the vacuum we are quite suprised that we have had so many problems.  I clean the brush bar before ever use and this is one of the models that there is no filter to clean.  I always check to make sure that there are no blockages.Does anyone know why this keeps happening, as it stands Dyson has suggested I take advantage of my warranty that doesnt expire u

I am looking for instructions on how to deep clean the pneumatic cleaning head on my Dyson Big Ball Animal 3 Cylinder Vacuum cleaner.Can it be soaked to help remove crusted on deposits?

UP22 Light Ball not staying upright - magnet fix

Lightball UP22 not staying upright.Solution:Check that the two short duct hoses at bottom of cleaner are free and clear of debris.  If these will not close or seal properly because of debris then the cleaner may not lock into upright position as magnetic assembly (see below) will not engage.If hoses clear, then check magnet assembly (a magnet and a separate metal plate) which, when brought together in the upright position, holds the cleaner in the upright position. I found that the magnet is held within a clasp  and on my vacuum at least the magnet had come free of the clasp and was stuck magnetically to the opposing metal plate. As a result the magnetic grip was relatively poor, not helped by the full travel being reduced by the depth of the magnet about 5-10mm.To fix the loose magnet, place the magnet back between the clasp and squeeze the two arms of the clasp, at either end of the magnet, against the magnet using a pair of narrow-tipped pliers. The silver grey release button on our cyclone bin has cracked

Does anyone have a replacement button, possibly from a bin that was unserviceable for some other reason?  I really don't want to buy the complete cyclone assembly just to replace this button.

Is it safe to wash my Dyson vacuum's cyclone pack?

I have a DC25 and as part of cleaning it I ran water through the cyclone but now see that this is not advisable. Please can you tell me if I should replace this part (if available) or whether it is possible to dry it without affecting its function. Thank you.(Moderation edit - title updated)

What cleaning tasks is the Dyson Submarine V12s Detect Slim Submarine wet roller head suited for?

Does Dyson Submarine V12S Submarine Wet Roller Head is used for entire floor mopping OR Just for small work -picking spillage and removing stain from small area?I am asking this, as I am a New Owner of Dyson 12 Detect Slim Submarine, from Gurgaon, India. I have purchase this only two months back in Sep 2023.But only after 2 weeks of purchase, this wet roller head stopped working. A yellow triangle picture (indicator of some internal machine defect appears) and water stopped coming out from the wet roller head. Dyson DC40 - changeover valve replacement

DC40,no suction from brush end, notice the pipe has holes in it meaning we can only vacuum with the pipe not the upright. The picture shows a split pipe, can I replace this myself and what is the part number please . Thankyou any information helpful The pipe with holes in it , can this pipe be replaced please?
