james dyson plz dont give up on dyson zone

I’m heartbroken that Dyson removed the Zone from their website—a product that felt like a dream come true for me. As someone desperate for a mask to filter out secondhand smoke and odors while doubling as quality headphones, the Zone was perfect. I was thrilled when my favorite air treatment company boldly entered this niche market, hitting exactly what I needed for daily commutes. It transformed experiences like using public restrooms, riding crowded subways, or enduring long flights by blocking out smells and sweat, making them bearable, even enjoyable. Yet, I’m deeply disappointed that Dyson discontinued it, seemingly swayed by strangers’ opinions about its look. It’s frustrating that people prioritize appearances over well-being— why care what others think? The Zone should’ve been a hot seller for anyone who values comfort and health. It’s sad to think we’re in an age where even Dyson surrenders to such shallow criticism. Now, I’m left planning to stock up on spares, hoping they la

Dyson Zone headphones beeps and sounds used for prompts are very loud

The beeps and sounds used for prompts on the Dyson zone headphones are very loud. Is there anyway to disable these sounds or reduce the volume? The volume for the audio does not change the volume for the beeps and prompts.

Shopping around, Dyson Headphones

I’m looking to buy a new pair of headphones and recently found out that Dyson has thrown their hat in the ring. I play a lot of games, listen to music, watch movies/videos all with my headphones. Needless to say, they get a lot of use. Sometimes I even fall asleep with them on. I’m looking for a pair that can do all that, is comfortable and has a sturdy build. Does Dyson compete with the brands at the forefront of the industry ( Sony, SteelSeries, SkullCandy, Cosair, etc)?

Automatische Abschaltung

Ich habe ein Phänomen, dass ich nicht beheben kann. Kopfhörer Ontrac, schaltet automatisch aus.Wenn man dann weiter hören möchte und ihn anschaltet, muß man ihn im Bluetooth Menü antippen, damit der sich mit Bluetooth verbinden kann. Geht nicht von allein.Wenn man allerdings etwas abspielt oder bei einem aktiven Telefonat, den Kopfhörer anschaltet, verbindet er sich ganz von alleine.  Auch wenn man den Kopfhörer manuell ausschaltet und dann irgendwann wieder einschaltet, wird automatisch mit Bluetooth verbunden. Die App zeigt bei jedem Szenario Status verbunden an, egal ob im Bluetooth Menü tatsächlich verbunden. Das ist dann sehr verwirrend. Bin Gott sei Dank Profi und konnte das Problem schnell diagnostizieren. Sollte ein Software Problem sein und wird hoffentlich bald mal behoben. Ein Tipp an die Entwickler. Einfach mal selbst ausprobieren.  Support wollte ein Video dazu von mir. Das ist nicht möglich, da es zu viel Speicherplatz benötigt und nicht per Mail verschickt werden kann.

Will the Dyson Zone also get custom EQ?

Hi, I love my Dyson Zones and I think I’ve told everyone how great they are… but it’d be cool if it could receive the same custom EQ feature the OnTracs have. Are there any plans for it to be added in the future? …please? 🥲 I hope they aren’t seen as abandoned or anything because of the OnTrac.Thank you 👀

Functionality Idea: Programmable Buttons/Button Mapping

I've been enjoying my Dyson OnTrac headphones. Today i was thinking about how cool it would be to be able to map certain functions or shortcuts to buttons (or the double tap function).  For example answering calls, changing volume, opening certain apps, the possibilities would be exciting to explore different combinations. Being able to save these settings in profiles would be cool too. Just wanted to throw this idea out there. :)

Ontrac ANC for calls

Hello - I see there are multiple requests for Dyson to allow ANC during phone calls. All of the threads are marked as “resolved,” but this is absolutely not resolved. Saying, “we’ve made an active choice not to allow this feature you’ve let us know is critical for you as a customer” is not a resolution.I just received these headphones yesterday and thought they were defective when I was on a call. In today’s work environment where most of us are looking for headphones to cancel out the overwhelming noise of coworkers in the office, noise cancelling on calls is table stakes for premium headphones. I’m a workplace strategist at a large architecture and design firm, which means I design workplace setups and strategies for corporations. These headphones will get a red x (warning against them as part of a workplace setup) unless this feature gets updated.

Stock levels in Ireland for Ontrac accessories

I bought the Ontrac headphone on day one of their release from Ireland. Since then I have attempted a number of times to purchse ear cushions and covers for the headphones to customise them. I have been met by “Out of stock” messages for the majority of options. However when I look on other country sites I can see that stock levels are great, but I am not able to order as I am not in the specific country having the stock. I have also checked through other retailer, but as of now I have not been successful. Can anyone recommend any good options to enable me to buy different colour cushions and covers for these headphones please?

Do Dyson OnTrac ear cushions work on the Zone?

Hi, I just bought a pair of the Dyson Zone and I love them and they are honestly the best and most underrated headphones I’ve ever used. They sound spectacular, they’re gorgeous and incredibly well built - and the air filtration, while I don’t need it personally, is really neat and fun to show to people lol.I was just kind of wondering if they use the same cushions as the OnTrac because I want to try out the yellow ear cushions on my Zone. I read a comment on Reddit from someone saying that they use the same design and are able to fit on the Zone, but I want to be sure before I buy them.Thanks!

PLEASE allow noise cancelling during phone calls

I know it's been posted before but please can you update the Dyson zone to allow noise cancelling during phone calls.. for a premium headset that you can't use for phone calls as the background noise becomes too much is a serious downfall. I understand you've implemented this to keep you aware of surroundings or the level of your own voice.... How can this be a valid reason when you can listen to music with noise cancelling and still remain perfectly safe, if you made it an option to switch between noise cancellation or background amplification (like any other time) then surely the safety would remain in the hands of the user and they can switch back & forth as they see fit during a phone call.. Trying to conversate in any kind of public place becomes super difficult and frustrating down to this rule, I'm hoping if enough people agree and continue raising this annoyance you guys will listen and release an update

Dyson Zone: no audio playing unless I press one side into my ear

Hi all,New owner of the Zone! I noticed that my audio does not play unless I press the left side into my ear or I place my finger directly on the driver. If I wear them backwards (air vents facing behind me, R on left ear and L on right ear), it works fine. I’ve tried to recalibrate the headphones, but I’m constantly getting a Calibration Failed error.  Any suggestions?

How to get replacement parts for Dyson Zone?

The main reason I purchased the Dyson Zone is the air purification feature. I have more than 5 top of the line headphones and ear pods at home (cheapest is closer to $300 and most expensive is way more than that). This is mainly due to seasonal allergies that nothing so far can get rid of them. Now I can’t find any way that I can purchase replacement filters so I can stake years worth of them. They are always sold out on the website and no one cared to create after market replacement.  How do you deal with that? This basically destroys the value of the entire thing for me :(

ANC During calls

I was unsure why I couldn't enable noise cancellation when in a teams call for work, I came on here to look to see if I was missing something but it appears that this is an intentional feature by Dyson. I think this should be changed perhaps with a software update as working in an office there is usually multiple calls going on around me and without noise cancellation it makes it very difficult to listen to the call I’m on whilst also hearing everyone else around me.I understand this feature was created to give you awareness of how loud you are speaking however this should be an option for the user. I don't see the point in disabling the option to switch between ANC and Transparency mode when in a call.I would love to hear back on this and hopefully my feedback can be passed on to those at Dyson as I'm sure I wont be the only one with this issue.Thanks.

LHDC codec

Looks like my phone (Google Pixel 8) doesn’t nativelly support the LHDC bt codec for high quality audio, I recently got the OnTrac headphones, from such an high end device I’d expect a better audio quality. What I’m asking is if LHDC support is planned via the dyson app (as sony does for their devices with their LDAC codec)?

Dyson zone connectivity problems

Hello, i just bought the Dyson zone headphones. I followed all the instructions on the start up and the headphones were connected. Immediately after they where disconnected and a red Led started blinking. I hard reset the headphones and started again. Again the same issue, disconnected by themselves and a red Led blinking.Any help is welcome!

Dyson OnTrac Sound quality on PC

Hello,Currently having trouble getting the headphones to not sound like I’m in a phone call/underwater on my Windows 11 PCI have disabled the mic in the sound settings, as I use an external mic and made sure the audio output is set to “Headphones” instead of “Headset”. I am unsure what to do. There is no application using the mic, which is the typical issue I’ve had with other headphones having this sound quality issue before(all high end, near no bass, crisp, not full sound)Any other help is appreciated. I love these headphones and they sound just fine when I’m using them on my phone not on a phone call, just trying to do the same for my PC.I am updated to the most current public version of Win11 (23H2) and made sure my OnTracs are up to date in the app.

Status of the Dyson Zone in Canada?

Hello, I’ve noticed on the Canadian Dyson website you can’t buy the Dyson Zone anymore. I got mine when they were still not available in Canada, I actually drove down to the US to pick them up at a place I got shipped to at the border. I absolutely love my Dyson Zones and I’m a bit worried that we might never get replacement filters in Canada now as Dyson isn’t even selling the headphones up here. :(I have a condition called MCS and these have made it much safer for me to go outside of my home to do things like grocery shop, or visit people in public spaces.I really hope this doesn’t mean Dyson is abandoning this product, but I suspect it might. I understand that the OnTrac headphones might sell better but I hope the Zone stays in the lineup. I’m now quite terrified of what will happen to me some day when these die. As I especially suspect that with recent changes in the US, we’ll see even more products coming in to Canada that poison the air in enclosed spaces as regulations down sout

dyson ontrac review and issues!!

I’ve recently purchased the Dyson OnTrac and have been using them for 2 weeks now. I tried to look into reviews however most reviews were sponsored/promoted posts, so finding honest reviews was quite difficult. Couple concerns I have with the headphones are: sweat condensation build up in the inner ear cushion. I’m not sure if these are sweat proof but I found that when I removed the cushion, there seems to be a lot of condensation inside. Would this damage the headphones in the long run?    Not the most comfortable headphones.  I personally couldn’t use this for more than 20 minutes before my ears would start to hurt and ache. I’m not sure if it’s the tightness of the headphones or the compression against my ears.    The batteries and headband have fabric kind of material that would get dirty after a while. They’re not removable, so how would I clean them? Sweat, grease and hair products would probably build up on and make it dirty.    switching between noise cancellation and transpar

Ontrac ANC or no noise cancellation during a call

I just got my Ontracs yesterday coming from 3 years of AirPod maxes.if we put aside the loss of being in the  “Apple ecosystem” , the headphones are pretty great and the ANC is stronger in different situations.Unfortunately something that is a bit of a deal breaker is I can’t find a way to enable ANC or disable noise isolation during a phone call. I was at a train station trying to listen to a meeting and I couldn’t hear a thing… i had to switch to my handset. It felt like the headphones actually made things worse, the trains and people sounded louder and the voices coming through the call were quieter.i went through settings and can’t find a way to disable this “call adjustment” feature. How can I do it? as some further feedback, noting that I love the headphones:in general I get the feeling that Dyson and the app has taken away a lot of choice from the user(can’t change the what the buttons do, can’t disable the tap for noise isolation, only 3 eqs etc) plus this phone call issue.i un
