How to assemble and use your new Dyson Hot+Cool Jet Focus AM09 fan heater.
Power
- Each time heating mode is selected, your Dyson heater conducts a short calibration cycle. Airflow will be automatically controlled during this cycle. Once the calibration cycle is complete, it will revert to your chosen airflow speed.
- On first use, your Dyson heater will default to a temperature 3°C higher than the detected room temperature. Thereafter, your machine will remember the last target temperature set.
- Choose your desired room temperature. Pressing the large red button on the remote control increases the target temperature by 1°C; the smaller red button on the remote control decreases it by 1°C.
Please note: Your Dyson heater will not operate in heater mode unless the target temperature is above the room temperature.
Remote control
- Your remote control docks magnetically. Attach the remote control to the top of the appliance with the buttons facing down.
- To operate, point the remote control toward the front of the base, making sure there are no obstructions to block the signal.
- The remote has an operating range of around 4m.
Heating mode
- Press the red thermostat control button until the digital display shows your chosen target room temperature. The power button light will change from blue to red to indicate that you have entered heating mode.
- The red circle will disappear when the target room temperature is reached. Once the target room temperature has been reached, your machine will stop heating the air.
- When in its monitoring state, your machine’s impeller will continue to run at a low speed, drawing airflow past the intelligent thermostat.
- If the intelligent thermostat detects that room temperature has fallen below the target room temperature, your machine will start to heat again.
Fan mode
- Press the blue fan mode button to enter fan mode. The power button light will change from red to blue to indicate that you have entered fan mode.
- To adjust the airflow speed use the airflow control button.
Sleep timer
- To set the sleep timer, press and hold the timer button to select the desired time.
- When time reaches zero, your machine will go into standby mode.
- To cancel, reduce the time until two dashes appear.
Tilt function
- Carefully hold the base and the main body. Tilt the amplifier forward or backward for the required airflow angle.
Diffused mode
- Press the wide angle button to change from a personal directed airflow to a whole room airflow.

Airflow speed control

- The digital display will show the new fan speed.
- If in heater mode after 2.5 seconds it will change back to displaying the target temperature.
Automatic cut-out
- For your safety, your Dyson heater is fitted with automatic cut-out switches that operate if the appliance tips over or overheats.
- If the switches operate, unplug your machine and allow it to cool.
- Before restarting your machine, check and clear any blockages and ensure the machine is on a solid level surface.
- In heating mode your machine will automatically switch ‘OFF’ after 9 hours of continuous use and will return to standby mode. To restart the machine, press the power button on either the remote control or the base.

Important:
- Carry your Dyson heater by its base, not by the loop amplifier - the loop amplifier is not a handle.
- Please do not use your Dyson heater via an extension cable. Your home's power system safely supplies a fixed amount of current, with each component specified and certified to meet the needs of the system. Running multiple appliances using an extension cord could accidentally cause an overload - risking a fire or damage to insulation, and the potential for an electric shock.
- Additionally, as we don't manufacture extension cords ourselves, we're not in a position to vouch for their safety or quality. For this reason, any damage caused to your Dyson machine as a result of using it with an extension cord may not be covered under your Dyson guarantee.
