HP07 Fan only

How do you run the HP07 in fan only (+ filtering) mode? No heating or cooling just using it to move air.

Hi @ElitistPhoenix,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

As long as your Dyson purifier is running without Heating mode activated, it will be doing exactly what you’ve described - drawing in, purifying and projecting airflow without changing the room temperature.

You can set it to Auto mode so it can react to data from its onboard sensors when it detects an increase in indoor pollutants. Or if you prefer, you can set the fan speed manually to suit your needs.

Hope this helps, but let us know if you have further questions!

Hi Jack,

But won’t this just be in cooling mode with the air conditioning compressor kicking in and out? How do I do it without cooling mode at all?

Hi @ElitistPhoenix,

In fan mode, Dyson purifiers cool you with a smooth stream of purified airflow.

They’re not air conditioners - they won’t lower the overall room temperature, and they don’t include any kind of refrigeration technology.

Hope this helps!

Well that’s blatantly misleading marketing isn’t it? Cool means cool. Not fan.
The product should be named hot + fan.

Hi @ElitistPhoenix,

Dyson purifiers project a smooth stream of airflow, which creates a cooling sensation for users as it moves across your skin.

They’re not sold as air conditioning units, and aren’t engineered to lower the overall room temperature. Instead, they’re engineered to cool you in warmer weather, heat the room evenly in cooler weather, and to capture pollutants, odours, VOCs and gases within your indoor environment.

Nice marketing spiel.

The fact is they don’t cool at all right? So having “cool” in the title is false advertising.

Hi @ElitistPhoenix,

I can only reiterate what I’ve said - it’s not an air conditioner which lowers the room temperature, it’s a purifier fan which cools users down with airflow.

If you feel this isn’t the right machine for your needs, you would need to speak to the retailer to discuss your options.

If you ordered from Dyson.com, you can visit our website and click Support to speak with your local Dyson Customer Care team. If you purchased from a third party retail partner, you would need to contact them directly to discuss their individual store policies.
