Airwrap motor issues! | Dyson Community

So I have had my Dyson Airwrap for 2.5 years.  I have only used the Airwrap a handful of times, unsuccessfully.  Last week I decide to go to a service center near me since I didn’t feel the suction and Airwrap feature was working.  Much to my dismay, the service center repairman called and informed me that there is a motor issue and that its going to cost $300 to fix it!  It was at that same time, he delivered another blow, that my my warranty expired in July 2024!  Now I’m torn whether to get it fixed, by a new one, or try out a cheaper alternative like the Shark brand styler!  I am so upset and shocked at the repair cost and even more disappointed that after spending over $600, my Airwrap only lasted a little over two years!  I am now left wondering if my recently purchased Dyson Ball vacuum and Dyson stick vacuum are going to die soon too!  I am so disillusioned and frustrated with the Dyson brand! Anybody else having such issues?

Next time buy it at Costco because if you have any issues you can deal with a company that treats their customers with the respect they deserve. They’ll accept the return on the spot and return it to Dyson on your behalf.

I returned via UPS a reputable company and dyson refusing to acknowledge getting complete v11 vacuum therefire no replacement.

absolutely unacceptable

Dyson Resolution Specialist

My issue has not been solved, what is the resolution for my Airwrap?

So after posting here on Dyson Community, and providing information to Charu the specialist here on Dyson Community, there was absolutely NO RESOLUTION as to how to get my Airwrap fixed.  After just 2.5 years of purchasing an Airwrap for over $650, I am now going to be out $300 to fix the motor issues at the Dyson Repair Center or will have to spend over $650 again for an all new Airwrap!  Save your money folks!  These Airwraps are duds and break down conveniently after the warranty expires!  IF you have to purchase an Airwrap, buy it from a superstore or electronics store that offers an EXTENDED warranty past the two years that Dyson offers!  Try out other quality brands such as SHARK Flexstyle which you can buy for $250 at Costco, and where you can return the item within the first year of purchasing.  SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOLKS!

So for the folks following my issue, here’s an update regarding my Dyson Airwrap.  So Dyson finally reached out to me three weeks ago, offering an exchange for my defunct Airwrap.  They sent me a label to send back my Airwrap and after receiving it, they would ship me my new Airwrap.  They received my Airwrap three weeks ago and rModeration edit - offensive language removed] at their warehouse sent me a Dyson hairdryer instead!  I had to call back, get a label for the hairdryer, shipped it back to them, and AM STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO SEND ME MY NEW AIRWRAP!  Dyson told me it would take up to 18 BUSINESS DAYS to receive my Airwrap!  I am beyond frustrated at the ineptitude of Dyson customer service!  After this entire debacle, they should have overnighted me my new Airwrap! DYSON DO BETTER! FOLKS SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND A BETTER BRAND!
