Please take a look at the following Dyson Community article, particularly the section headed ‘Are my Dyson Airwrap multi-styler’s Soft smoothing brush’s articulating plates moving freely?’
After checking this, if you’re concerned your Soft smoothing brush’s plates aren’t moving freely when in use, please contact Dyson Customer Care as

Your machine should reset automatically on it’s own once it’s cooled down, but you would need to resolve the issue to prevent it from shutting off again.
What did you find when you checked the articulating plates on the Soft smoothing brush?

I checked when it’s off it moves freely however when the machine is on and the brush starts to move I feel like the hot air is stuck and then the machine turns off,
I don’t know if this is normal or not
