Disappointed with Dyson Product and Support Experience

Last year, I unfortunately bought a Dyson air purifier and humidifier, but after a few months of use, it began to fail repeatedly. The error was of the type "Run a Deep Clean Cycle," which I had major difficulties completing. Eventually, after several rounds of contact with Dyson where I explained that the machine had serious issues, I said that I wanted to either exchange it or return it – but that was completely ignored.

The problem with the Deep Clean Cycle was apparently resolved when they sent me a new pump column. But shortly after, the machine started showing a new error: that the water tank was empty – even though it wasn’t.

I’m very surprised by how unwilling Dyson’s customer service representatives are to acknowledge that the machine has a real fault. After several attempts, I finally sent the machine in for repair. I won’t even begin to describe how long it took or how many times I had to contact them just to find out where the machine actually was.

I received the machine back on Thursday, April 3 – more than three weeks later – but after just one day of use, the same error appeared again. This means the machine was only temporarily “fixed,” and it’s clear that it has a serious issue. It may also be that this is a common problem with Dyson’s humidifiers in general.

I would never recommend anyone to buy this type of Dyson product. It’s expensive, it doesn’t work, and the customer service is both frustrating and disappointing.
