My wife is about to bin her Supersonic because the cord is too bulky. What is the inline box a foot or two from the end of the cord, and any issue if I cut the cord on the dryer side of that box and put a new plug on the cord? This would also mean losing the GFCI protection in the (bulky) plug at the end of the cord, but our bathroom, like most bathrooms, already has GFCI protection at every outlet.

Supersonic Power Cord Bulkiness Fix?

Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community!
The inline E-box within the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer’s power cord includes essential electronic components. Please do not attempt to modify or remove the E-box as this will prevent your machine from working correctly.
It would also invalidate your free 2-year Dyson warranty, meaning future repairs or replacement parts would be at your cost.
Hope this answers your question!
