PRCD plug

Every aspect of the Dyson Airstrait™ straightener was very carefully considered by our engineers during development - in addition to extensive user trials in real home environments.

We've integrated the PRCD (Portable Residual Current Device) plug as an additional safety feature. It's important in enabling wet to dry straightening. It tests and ensures the safety of the machine before each use. This kind of plug is used on a variety of electrical appliances, particularly those used in proximity to water or water vapour.

Also, moving some key electronic elements to the plug removes weight and bulk from the machine itself, to keep it as light and compact as possible in your hand.
