Can I add detergents or cleaning solutions?

  • Dyson 02 Probiotic hard floor cleaning solution is engineered to work with the Dyson Submarine™️ wet roller cleaner head.
  • We recommend using 10ml of Dyson 02 Probiotic when cleaning with your Dyson Submarine™️ wet roller cleaner head.
  • Dyson 02 Probiotic works to remove dirt and odours from internal pipes, tanks and microfibre rollers. Cleaning your floors, and your machine.
  • Dyson 02 Probiotic should not be combined with chemical disinfectants, as they will affect the probiotics. Although a small number of probiotic microorganisms might survive, the aim is to build up a healthy population and the use of biocidal products will slow this down

Important: Please do not use bleach with your Dyson Submarine™️ wet roller cleaner head.

Can I use another cleaning solution instead?

Dyson 02 Probiotic has been specially formulated to work with Dyson wet cleaners, like WashG1™️ and Submarine™️. We can’t guarantee that other formulations won’t cause excessive foaming on the floor or be incompatible with the plastics and other materials.

Can I add hot water?

Fill with tap water only, up to 35°C/95° F. Don’t use boiling water, as this could cause damage not covered under your machine’s Dyson guarantee.

Do I add the detergent to the water tank, correctly diluted? Or do I choose a spray type cleaner to spray onto the floor and only use clean water in the tank?

Hi @Lil.05,

We’d recommend adding diluted, low-foaming antibacterial detergent to your Dyson Submarine™️ vacuum’s clean water tank as recommended above. This should make it easier to control the amount of detergent your machine picks up.

Can I add diluted white vinegar into the water tank for cleaning?

Hi @amy.mymail,

We haven't tested diluted white vinegar and we can't guarantee it won't cause damage, so it's not something we'd recommend.

If you’d like to add a cleaning agent, we’d advise using a diluted low-foaming antibacterial detergent.
