brand new i.d. cutting out

My brand new I.d. cut out whenever I used it - even the first time - saying the filter needed cleaning. Seemed unlikely as it was brand new. Exchanged for another one - and same problem first time I use it! Makes drying hair very hard as I have to keep stopping and restarting

It would be very unusual to experience your machine shutting off from brand new, especially from a replacement machine as well.

Please can you let us know if your machine shuts off regardless of which attachment is used, or are you finding this happens when you use a specific attachment?

In the meantime you can find some troubleshooting checks here which will help you identify and rule out the most common causes of this behavior:
