how can such a big company have such poor customer service?! and they dont let you complain!!

Shocked how this company can be once of the biggest in the world yet they’re so bad but they don’t let you complain about it!!

 

I filed a complaint last Thursday 20th March  and was told that I would receive a call within 5 working days and have still yet to receive any contact.

Then when I rang the call centre today (27/03/2025), the lady I spoke to, first of all couldn’t find my complaint,  which is yet another contribution to the point of my complaint in the first place!

She eventually found record of it and has elevated it again and gave me an email address (business@dyson.co.uk) that I can complain to as they don’t have a complaints number, yet when I sent an email I received the automatic reply stating that they’re only for business customers.

 

For background information, I called the call centre last Thursday (20/03/2025) at 11am as I’m having issues with my Dyson airwrap cutting out when in use and flashing red.

I am already aware of cleaning the filter etc and do this after every use, having had dyson hairdryers with the exact same issue. 

 

When on the phone, they told me that a repair would cost me, however, on my Dyson account, on the Dyson website says that my Guarentee doesn’t run out for another 8 days, which now falls as tomorrow (28/03/2025).

 

This I was already aware of because I specifically asked when it ran out when I rang about my hair dryer for the same fault back in August, the lady I spoke to then told me it runs out in March. 

 

I was told by the lady I spoke to at 11am last week to contact them via live chat so I could send the screenshot I have of THEIR website stating how long I have left on my Guarentee and go from there.

 

The person I was talking to on the live chat, again couldn’t find record of my guarantee and said that it has already run out, I asked to register a complaint as I think it’s ridiculous that when you’re own website says my purchase date and how many days guarantee that I have left, and the person I spoke to over the phone back in august 2024 specifically  told me that it runs out in March, I do not understand how is now not in their records!!

It is not what I expect from such a big company with such expensive products. Absolute joke!!

 

I feel I need to add that all staff I spoke to were polite/helpful and I did apologise to them that they were having to deal with my annoyance and that the complaint was not personally aimed at them, it was aimed at this shambles of a company!!

Hi I am in the UK and have just had a call to the call centre today about my airwrap shutting off within seconds of turning it on. Flashes red and turns off. Seemingly more so when the fan button is pressed.

I got the airwrap Christmas 2024 and have used it maybe 4 times. I was dumbfounded to be told they will take it to repair (like repair a 3 month old device what, awful customer service as I would assume it is clearly faulty and a new replacement would be more fitting) I am reading now so many stories like yours and mine that suggests this may be a bigger problem, frequent problem that Dyson are not communicating to us about.

What an absolute joke!! I swear they never used to be like this!

I have had previous issues with a supersonic hairdryer and because they were under warranty they just swapped them straight away! 
Now they can’t even match up the warranty details in their system to their website 🤦🏼‍♀️
