supersonic nural gets hotter and hotter, can anyone help


Having a problem regulating my supersonic nural hairdryer with defuser attachment on. I manually set it to low speed, low heat which it starts out at then gets so hot I can’t put it near my head! It then cools down and heats back up on its own. Used it twice, dreading using it again.

Thanks for letting us know about this - this certainly isn’t the normal behaviour we’d expect from a Dyson Supersonic Nural™ hair dryer.

Please can you let us know where you bought your machine from?

I did that last night. I was on for 30 minutes with Nitin and they didn’t try to help, just asked for serial number then a photo of my receipt which circled for 10 minutes  without loading and when I asked if they could help 3 times I got no reply. Had to give up and my hair had dried on its own by that time.

I note this is marked as ‘solved’, it most certainly isn’t. They offered an exchange but sent nothing, taking my faulty machine. One week in and Dyson and DPD are arguing responsibility whilst I have no hair dryer that I paid hundreds of pounds for! I’ve rung, emailed, DM, etc and no one gives a damn, just asking me to wait. Why I should wait is beyond me, how can a missing dryer between despatch and delivery be anything I should have to wait for? The most appalling customer service I’ve ever come across.
