Terrible customer service | Dyson Community

I’m incredibly disappointed with Dyson's customer service. I recently encountered a problem with my Supersonic Hair Dryer, which I purchased at full price, expecting it to be covered under the 2-year warranty. However, Dyson denied my warranty claim, citing the distributor's purchase date rather than the actual date I purchased the product, which was less than two years ago.

This is unacceptable. The warranty should start from the date the customer buys the product, not when it’s acquired by a distributor. This policy feels unfair and misleading, especially given the premium price tag of Dyson products.

I trusted Dyson for quality and customer care, but this experience has left me frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope they reconsider this policy and start treating their customers fairly. From my own experience and what I have read in this forum, Dyson does not stand by its brand.

Hi @Dharma,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for letting us know about this.

I’ve reached out directly to take some further information.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you.

Someone contacted me 3 days ago, took information and said that he would call me back within 48-72 hours. I haven’t heard back.

This issue, contrary to what the “SOLVED” label indicates, has not been solved.

It’s such a joke. No one will help here or via their customer service. I’m looking to start a class action lawsuit because why not. Simply refund everyone what’s owed to them.

My advice: do not waste your money buying Dyson products. They have the worst warranty policies and their customer service falls short of the honesty I expect from a brand that claims to produce high quality products. Do not waste your time talking to customer service representatives claiming that they are escalating your warranty claim.

I can't believe how incompetent Dyson's customer service is! Despite bombarding them with emails and phone calls, all I got was a promise to replace my faulty hairdryer within 48 hours. It's been two weeks now, and still no response from them. Absolutely unacceptable!
