The length of the cord on the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer has been intended to provide convenience and easy reach when drying and styling, especially in situations where owners don’t have easy access to a nearby wall socket.
We would advise against shortening the cord or changing any aspect of the machine from its original specification as this can void your Dyson guarantee - which would mean any replacement parts or repairs needed in future could be chargeable.

Please do pass my request along. It is so much longer than any dryer I have ever owned and makes it hard to store and use. Or perhaps include a something to hold the cord together for storage. It takes up a lot of room in my cabinet. Otherwise I like the dryer.

We do include Presentation cases and Storage bags suitable for the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer, which can also hold the machine’s cord and some smaller accessories.
In some instances these are included with purchase, but this will depend on where you order from, and which model you choose. If a storage solution wasn’t included with your machine, you can see which options are available locally on Dyson.com under the Haircare accessories section.
