Are the vacuum chargers universal voltage 100-240? | Dyson Community
Skip to main content

I want to buy the Dyson Vacuum V8 from the USA and take it to Asia which uses 240 V wall outlets. The information the website gives is that it’s 21.6V I understand that the vacuum is cordless and it’s talking about the voltage the vacuum uses when charging.

BUT my question is, what is the voltage the wall charger can take from the wall? Is it a range from 100-240V or is specific to 120 or 240? Does anybody have a box or manual of the V8 that tells?

Hi @anthony_z,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

If you already own a Dyson cordless vacuum and plan to relocate to a country where the voltage is different to the country of purchase, we’d recommend replacing the charger cord assembly with the correct regional charger cord for your model - so you can continue to recharge your machine as normal. You’ll be able to order a replacement charger directly from Dyson Customer Care in your new country of residence.

But please note, we do advise against purchasing a Dyson machine from one country for use in another. We don’t offer an international warranty, and may not have replacement parts or servicing available locally. This can make it very difficult for us to offer support in the event of a breakdown.

For this reason, we’d strongly recommend purchasing your new machine within Asia, so we can ensure we’re able to support you if you ever need a repair or replacement part.

Hope this helps!
