I have cleaned the filter according to the instructions, but there is still a lot of dirt "inside" the vacuum cleaner. I can get a lot of dirt out by knocking on the vacuum cleaner, or by using compressed air either from behind where I have removed the filter, or from the front. How is it intended to clean the internal dirt away?
Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community!
It’s normal for static charge generated in use to cause fine dust particles to cling to parts of the clear bin and cyclone pack. As you’ve mentioned, firmly tapping the top of the cyclone pack each time you empty your machine should dislodge and remove much of this. Any traces of dust remaining shouldn’t create issues with performance unless it’s blocking ducts that airflow needs to pass through. You can use a soft brush to help remove this if you want to.
Most important is ensuring your Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum’s motorised cleaner head, accessories, wand and bin inlet are free of obstructions, and the filter unit is washed regularly following the directions in the User guide.
Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot
