Dyson stole my vacuum!!! | Dyson Community

In 2023, I purchased for my wife a brand new Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner V10 Absolute and, separately, its dedicated floor docking station.

The purchase was not made through Amazon or other vendors, but through the official Dyson U.S. website.

As soon as I received the new V10, I registered it with the Dyson website, in order to have it covered by the official warranty.

A few months ago, the dust bin broke off.

The V10 was still fully covered by the Dyson warranty, so we contacted the Dyson customer care over the phone, and the experience my wife and I went through was HORRIBLE!

They asked us to ship them the vacuum, the dock station, and all the accessories….

After two months, many emails, countless phone calls, some of them I was put on hold for over 45 minutes, they NEVER fixed or replaced our vacuum… they just KEPT our V10 and never replied to our follow up calls and emails!!

Basically they STOLE our vacuum and all the accessories!!!!

There is no point in contacting the customer care again, by email or by phone.

Is there anybody in this community who can please help me?

Thanks,

Fede

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your reply and your offer.

Believe it or not, after I posted on this forum I called Dyson customer care one more time and, after a 1hr and 10min call (!!) I was able to get a different supervisor who seemingly fix this matter shipping a replacement vacuum.
The power of social media??!!

Question is... Do you really need to go through two months of hell just to have your vacuum fixed or replaced under warranty?

Thanks for your assistance.

2 months? that’s too long

Been 2 weeks for me and I need a replacement battery (machine not even 6 months old) and every time I am asked to wait 24-72 hours for verification of details. Created a topic myself. hopefully will be accepted and they will have some shame and help me out
