DYSON V15 ABSOLUTE DETECT. Compession spring for battery locking mechanism | Dyson Community

My Dyson V15 absolute detect is registered with Dyson and is under warranty until 20 December 2024. Dyson UAE has refused to honour it because I did not purchase from an ‘authorised reseller’. Around September the battery locking mechanism started to play up and charging was intermittent at best until eventually it completely gave up. I took it to the local service place which is outsourced to ‘jumbo’ uae. They flatly declined to repair under warranty. Multiple calls and emails always met with a rigid ‘no’ attitude.

As far as I know the compression spring that is used in the locking mechanism has the following dimensions: 2.5 x 15 MM. 
Can anyone help to direct me where to find it please?

As the Dyson team in UAE have confirmed, our free 2-year guarantee is only valid when you’ve purchased from either Dyson direct, or one of our authorised retail partners. Outside of this, any repairs or replacement parts needed could be chargeable.

Please note, the spring you’re referring to isn’t supplied to us as a standalone component and is available as part of the complete battery pack assembly. The Dyson Customer Care team should be able to order a replacement battery pack for you - as advised, this may be at your cost without proof of purchase from an authorised retailer.
