Gen5 Detect's batteries' cross-compatibility with V15/Outsize/V11

Bonjour,

The new Gen5 Detect will be available soon in France, or is already purchasable in some stores.

I wondering if the new battery design is pluggable in previous cordless models that has clickable batteries as V15, Outsize and some V11.

Also it could be interesting to know if the prior clickable battery model is compatible with the Dyson Gen5 Detect.

 

Does anyone have tried this cross-compatibility between the 2 differents Dyson's clickable batteries models ?

Finally, are docking stations cross-compatible ?

I think it's easy to find out. But no one seems to have shared this information on the web.

It will be great to be able to upgrade the battery capacity of cordless vacuum cleaners preceding the Gen5 Detect.

Short answer. No. The port which the batteries connected into are different across each model. The dock is also a different design. The Gen5Detect batteries are much larger than those on the previous models, the new dock allows for this expansion and weight.
