First, let me say, never, ever buy a Dyson. Definitely not through Amazon. I purchased the Digital Slim Cordless Vacuum on 1/15/25, it was delivered on 1/17/25 and stopped working 3/5/25. The machine will not turn on at all, will not charge, the digital screen remains black at all times. I go online and contact customer service, answer some questions and am told I need a new battery and one would be shipped to me immediately. But then the next day I get an email at midnight asking me the same questions. I answer them. The machine will not turn on, there is no error message. Then I get another email at 9pm 3/6/25 asking more questions. Asking if I tried charging it from another socket, did I try cleaning it. Since I’m not an idiot, I did all those things before I even contacted customer service on 3/5. I answered the third round of questions. 3/7 I received an email stating that based on my answers the problem is with the main body and cyclone and they need replaced (really after 45 days of light use) but those parts are out of stock so they will exchange for brand new machine Dyson V(11) Extra (Iron). Great. 3/8 at nearly 9pm I’m told an exchange has been created and return UPS shipping labels have been sent to me. They have not. I ask where they are, no response. Then I reply to the thread stating I’ve read all the horrible reviews of this product and I just want a refund. I don’t want to spend years returning and exchanging products. Today (3/9) I received an email stating an exchange was already started for me and they cannot process a refund. They also said I should contact the retailer about refunds. I did, Amazon will do nothing because it’s past 30 days. Again I emailed Dyson back and asked, where is my return label? Am I expected to pay the $20-$30 shipping to return this obviously bad product? No response. Then I come here and see all the people who have sent items for return or exchange, never to be seen again and no refunds. This is unreal. I’ve always wanted a Dyson. I can’t believe this is the level of product and customer service. I’m disgusted. I want my money back. If I don’t receive a shipping label tomorrow I’m contacting the Better Business Bureau. This is just theft from another billion dollar company.
