The new floor dok for gen5 no longer has weighted bottom and the pole now comes in two pieces which means the gen5 bends the floor dok making it unsafe.
Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
This design of Floor Dok is both lighter in weight, and more compact when packaged. This saves unnecessary raw materials used in production, and fuel during transport.
Like all Dyson machines and accessories, it’s been very rigorously tested for robustness and durability, and meets all requirement around safety.
We wouldn’t expect you to have any issues with breakage as long as the Floor Dok is used as intended.
