Planned obsolescence

As a Christmas present to my wife of 30+ years, a loyal Kenmore canister vacuum owner for 10+ years,I thought I would get her one of the new best “fancy” cordless vacuum cleaners. Purchased a new Dyson V 15 from Amazon on December 12, 2022. In January 2025, The V 15 started. turned off several times, but ultimately come back on after 3 to 4 engagement of the trigger. After a month of cleaning and looking for clogs as directed by troubleshooting guides found online. I finally found “Vacuum V 15 keep turning off several times” thread on community notes, Dyson cordless vacuums. The thread is 10 months old now. It described exactly what's happening to our Dyson V 15 we had purchased in late 2022. Basically, after reading the whole thread, it comes down to a MOTOR failure. This realization occurred approximately one month after the two year manufactures warranty expired. So my question is this planned obsolescence? How to proceed? Now that my wife and myself has gotten used to and enjoy the upright battery vacuums should we 1)Try to source replacement motor and install myself.  2) buy another Dyson and buy an extended warranty with the expectation that it will fail shortly out of the manufacture warranty. 3) look for a less expensive but more reliable alternative.?
