I purchased a Dyson V8 Origin Stick Vacuum on November 7, 2023.  The battery does not charge.  I first used the chat line and have been waiting for a response, but have not received one.  Today I called and was on the phone for over 1 hour with Rashmi who wanted a copy of my receipt.  I went to my Target account on my phone and pulled the receipt and sent to her.  After 45 minutes she told me that because my name was not on the receipt and after she spoke with her supervisors, the receipt is no good.  I requested multiple times to speak with the supervisor she kept saying the supervisor would tell me the same thing and would not forward my call.  While talking to her I logged on my PC and pulled up my Target account and was able to get the full receipt, which shows my name, address, product ID, delivery address, credit card last 4 and sent to her.  After being put on hold several more times, she states there is a problem because my Dyson account shows my first name as Constance and my receipt shows my first name as Connie (same last name and address on both).  I told her I don’t normally use my legal name but both are me, they have the same address and my email in my Dyson account is my name starting with Connie.  After over one hour and several more times put on hold, she states she will have to have the receipt reviewed and I will know something in 72 hours and again would not put me through to a supervisor.  This is absolutely the WORST customer service.  I have several vacuums and hair dryers currently on my Dyson account and it appears loyalty is for nothing.  You’d think when you pay top dollar and have loyalty they might actually try to help when you call instead of saying anything to get out of a warranty.  Should it really be this hard to get a new battery under warranty??
