Recommended storage and organizer for Outsize. Dok? Other? | Dyson Community
Skip to main content

I just received the Dyson Outsize. I like free standing rather than being attached to the wall. But besides that, the Outsize came with 6 attachments and the furniture cleaning kit which is 3 more attachments. How do I keep all this organized?

I found the Dyson Dok here: https://www.dyson.com/support/journey/tools/970778-01.

But it looks like it has a place for only one attachment. What about the other 8 attachments?

I found this expansion bracket on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096NWGW2R/?coliid=I1CGGXM7JDYSU8&colid=2YLS7QHLY3WN5&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it.

But it looks like I can only store organized another four. What about the remaining 5?

Then I found this alternative stand for vacuum cleaners here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CVRH3MF/?coliid=I33JUXSFLX8LYT&colid=2YLS7QHLY3WN5&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1.

So for a third of the price of the Dyson dok, I can store the vacuum and four attachments.

Before, I got the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute with the dok for it. That was great. That dok gave me a place to store everything organized. And it was free standing. I did not have to attach anything to the wall.

Am I the only one adverse to keeping my vacuum on the wall and storing all the attachments jumbled up in the shipping box? Probably not. So, I’m hoping someone can tell me what they do or recommend a solution or a few solutions.

Hello @indinfer

You raise a very valid point here with regard to tool and accessory storage, with our cord-free machines. The included wall docks, which not every owner will utilize (myself included), will hold the machine, and two tools. While that’s great, if you only have two tools, the majority of owners I speak to have more. We do carry a storage tool bag, which you can view on the Dyson website. This is the storage option I personally use. It does feature a number of pockets to neatly hold and organize extra tools you may have. I’ve got mine hanging on a hook in my laundry room.

We really appreciate the feedback you’ve shared here, and we’d love to see some creative ways in which our owners are storing their additional tools, too.

Thank you. That is a mighty helpful answer. I think I will seek the storage tool bag.

I have the outsize aswell and the dok I use is this https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.dyson.co.uk/support/journey/tools/972214-03&ved=2ahUKEwj1mNTW0Oj9AhXQTsAKHZD9BsMQFnoECAsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2R6jp5vnJSZoim9uLcqp_l

However I got it from Argos in the UK and it was reduced but all my tools fit on this dok. The best way to find one is make sure its compatible with the Outsize first then make sure its called the multi-Dok as that fits a variety of tools. Hope that helps.
