Wash G1 Wet Rollers & Tray | Dyson Community

I've been following the cleaning instructions and have been removing the debris tray, washing out the rollers and then running the self clean cycle. Often ill run the clean cycle twice to ensure the Rollers are cleaned.

However, I find when I return to the machine a few days later the holding tray has a puddle and needs cleaning.

My question is, can I remove the Rollers and dry them on the side after the cleaning cycle? Does the machine have to have the Rollers & debris filter in place to sit on the tray?

I'm concerned about water bacteria build up, with the tray sitting wet from the rollers.

Hi @Lottlady,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

Regularly using your Dyson WashG1™️ wet cleaner’s Self-clean cycle helps reduce the amount of manual cleaning and maintenance you’ll need to do, but we would recommend removing the wet rollers and allowing them to air dry completely once the cycle is complete. As you’ve mentioned, allowing the rollers to air dry between uses will help avoid odours.

You can see our Self-clean guide video on our Getting started article:

Hope this helps!
