I would not recommend as it could lead to other pertinent issues. Also, something caused by unauthorized personnels would not be covered by warranty.
Just give them a call, and if you speak nicely they would sometimes discount the repair cost as a gesture of goodwill. As it’s not their obligation to do this, try to speak to them in a nice way and they would definately try to help you if they can.
