When will you be stocking the CY22 post filter again? | Dyson Community
Skip to main content

You don't have it in stock and it appears loads of other stores are out of stock for it to.

When are you getting it back in?

My vacuum is useless at the moment.

Hi @Alex2916,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

We’re sorry to hear you’ve had difficulty ordering a replacement post filter for your Dyson Cinetic Big Ball™️ cylinder vacuum. We support our machines with spare parts and servicing for their warranty period and beyond. Despite global supply constraints, please be assured we’re doing everything we can to add new stock of spare parts and accessories as soon as we’re able to.

The post filter in the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball™️ vacuum is engineered to last the lifetime of the machine in normal domestic use, and ordinarily we wouldn’t expect it to need replacing. If you’re experiencing performance issues, it's worth thoroughly checking the floor tool, wand, wand handle, hose and inner duct for any blockages or other issues.

In the meantime, all we can suggest is ensuring you’re registered via our Notify me function so we can alert you via email when more stock is added.

If you haven’t already, you’re also welcome to reach out to your regional Dyson Customer Care team to discuss troubleshooting and repair options by visiting Dyson.com and clicking Support.

Well it's not lasting the lifetime.

After looking online, there are lots of other people with the same issue.

I vacuum my house. I vacuum normal things.

I have been told you withhold stock with your service department and stop general public being able to order it.

Disgusting.

Hi @Alex2916,

Can I ask, what issue are you having with your Dyson vacuum which makes you feel the post filter needs to be replaced?

If your machine has just been used for normal domestic cleaning of household dust and debris, and the bin has been emptied regularly and not overfilled past the Max line, there should be no reason to replace it.

Just to clarify, we aim to support our machines with spare parts and servicing options for their guarantee period and beyond. We’re currently experiencing global supply chain issues which we’re working hard to resolve, but there’s no intention to make replacement parts or accessories unavailable for non-legacy machines.

The fact there is dust coming out the rear vents.

Upon inspection, the filter has a lot of dust in it and various small holes which is where the leaks are coming from.

Well it appears you have had these stock issues since March 2024 looking at other people's comments. It may even have been longer.

Others report you're not producing this part anymore.

Hi @Alex2916,

This sounds very unusual and not what we’d expect from a machine in normal use. There should be no reason for holes forming in the post filter.

As mentioned, if you haven’t already done so, please reach out to your regional Dyson Customer Care team to discuss troubleshooting and repair options by visiting Dyson.com and clicking Support. Our engineers can help inspect the complete machine to ensure there are no other underlying issues contributing to excessive loading of the post filter.
