I have a BIG BALL ABSOLUTE vacuum. I washed the filter 2 days ago and it’s nowhere near dry. It’s in a well ventilated area but it has been raining the last day. Dyson customer service “experts” no help at all. Any suggestions (I don’t have a drying cupboard that I’ve seen others suggest)??
Filter not drying

Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community!
We advise leaving at least 24-48 hours for your machine's filter to dry completely before replacing it. Ambient temperature and humidity - which will vary day to day - will both impact how long your filter takes to dry. When it’s raining as you’ve described, humidity can be higher than normal, and it may take a little longer for the moisture within the filter material to evaporate.
After washing the filter thoroughly using clean water without detergent, tap or shake it to help remove excess water droplets. We then recommend leaving it in a warm, well-ventilated area such as beside a radiator, inside an airing cupboard, or on a sunny window sill.
Please do not attempt to dry the filter in a tumble dryer, oven, microwave, with a hair dryer, or near a naked flame - as we can't guarantee this won't cause permanent damage.
Hope this helps!
