faulty dyson and horrific customer service

I bought a Dyson airwrap (long) as an investment piece into the care of my hair and initially it was great however within 15 months of ownership my Dyson became faulty. 
 

It lost power, was becoming far too hot and sounded excessively loud like it was going to take off when turned on. I was frightened this would go on fire so stopped using it. I immediately contacted Dyson with photos and they advised me they would book a repair, I was given a date in April when this would be collected but couldn’t be given a time and as a result sat waiting in all day and no one turned up. I continued to try and contact Dyson and eventually had another repair booked for August (at this point now being 4 months without my Dyson due to its fault), this repair was cancelled by Dyson a few days before it was due.

 

I have now contacted customer service numerous times and can’t get anywhere with a repair, this was an investment piece for me and I cannot afford to buy another one!

 

I spoke to customer service today where the advisor was extremely rude, refusing to listen to me and demanding to know why I did not try harder to contact Dyson? Although I did and could provide reference numbers for these repairs. 
 

I am now stuck and don’t know what else I can do, I feel this is unacceptable customer service, I now wish I had bought the cheaper (and clearly superior) shark flex as recommended to me however I have been a loyal Dyson customer for years and decided to them my business. 
 

now frustrated, not sure where to turn (and I have wet hair!)
