Having removed the screw for the TYPE B Battery pack, I can’t remove it from the DC44 Animal Body. Do you think it has become swollen? It is 10 years old. Edward

The DC44 Type B battery is held in place with two screws - one at the rear of the hand grip, and one at the front which you can access by separating the main body from the clear bin and cyclone pack.
From your description I’m wondering if you may have missed the screw at the front?
