Hi. My brand new v15 detect 4 days old on full charge, auto mode but can only run 21mins while the other photo from a youtube vid his v15 is 18mos old on auto mode and I think we have the same carpet but his vacuum can run 34mins. Any idea guys?

When set to Auto mode, your Dyson V15 Detect™ vacuum will detect both the floor surface you’re cleaning, and the amount of dust and debris being picked up, and will automatically ramp the power level up or down to match the cleaning task.
This means you’ll see the remaining runtime updating in real time as you vacuum. Your vacuum takes multiple factors into account as its algorithm calculates remaining runtime, so the figure will vary from session to session.
From what you’ve described above, it sounds as if your machine is working exactly as we’d expect it to.
