Replaced battery only last year.
Now finding despite charging, the machine only lasts seconds before running out of charge ?!?

It could be the battery. Don’t purchase it directly through Dyson. They do not have good customer service support. I ordered my replacement battery over a month ago and it was delivered to the wrong address. Dyson support was no help at all and I’m out over $100 at this point. Good luck getting your unit back up and running.
