Poor Quality and Poor Customer Service

I’m a first time Dyson owner, having purchased the cordless V8 Motorhead Origin in July 2022. I was excited to join the Dyson family and looked forward to using a high-quality vacuum.  I do love the freedom of this cordless vacuum and the light weight, but I am very disappointed and surprised by all of the time, effort and cost required to keep this vacuum in good working order . . .  long charging times, frequent time-consuming filter cleanings, diagnosing the source of airflow blockages and the need to purchase replacement parts.  It’s exhausting. (I also don’t like inhaling the household dust when emptying the bin.) On top of this, my vacuum now runs for just 1 minute and 40 seconds after a full (1 hour long) charge. I contacted Customer Service and was told that I need a $130 replacement battery. The cost of this new battery is 40% of the original purchase price.  This after just over two years of use in a small 2 bedroom house that is 50% hardwood flooring.  Of course, the 2-year warranty expired 4 months ago. I’m very disappointed in Dyson. What poor product quality and a shabby way to treat customers.
