I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the performance of my Dyson vacuum cleaner, which I purchased in April 2020 for €660. Recently, I have encountered recurring issues with the product, despite having it serviced at an authorized service provider (Damkalidis Service) in Greece in August 2023, at a cost of €208.90. Unfortunately, another issue has resurfaced now , and I have been quoted an additional cost of €199 for the repair.
I find this situation unacceptable, as I am a very careful user of my appliances at home, living in a small apartment and the use of this vacuum is light and once or twice weekly. Given the high quality and price of Dyson products, I find it concerning that a vacuum cleaner of this caliber is experiencing such failures within a reasonable lifespan. The cost or repair is outrageous and the camper service in Greece did not provide me any explanation or details about whether this issue stems from a defect in the product or any usage-related factors.
If I do not receive a satisfactory response or resolution, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter to the relevant consumer protection authority, as I believe this ongoing issue, coupled with the significant repair costs, is unreasonable.
