Intermitant Dyson V10 vacuum cleaner shutoffs but which gradually go away after starting the use!

My V10 vacuum cleaner starts off rough, intermittently shutting off, requiring pressing the power button to restart. Within a couple of minutes, it gradually runs smoother and then the issue goes away. This seems to happen every time! Cleaning the filter and the canister, nor full charge, don’t seem to be factors. What is odd, is that it always starts running rough, but within a minute or so, smooths itself out. What can be causing this? I should think if the filter is dirty, it would not smooth itself a minute into use!
