Has anyone in the community had the same issues regarding the build quality and durability of their V11 Absolute, in particular the main body & cyclone?
I purchased a V11 Absolute approx 3-4 years ago.
All seemed good until November 2023, when the main body and cyclone went faulty.
As it was a 2 year guarantee, I needed to purchase a new Main Body & Cyclone at a cost of £120.
Fast forward to this month, guess what? Same issue diagnosed, the Main Body & Cyclone developed the same symptoms and needs replaced. After 16 months!.
I contacted Dyson Customer Services with my issue, only to be told that the spare part i bought only has a 1 year guarantee - yet if you buy a whole new system it is a 2 year guarantee????
Personally I do not see or can work out why the exact same Dyson component only has a 1 year guarantee if bought as a replacement.
Customer Services were unwilling to budget, and it was take it or leave it.
In my opinion, the build quality of previous Dyson appliances I've had seemed more robust, and this should not fail just after 1 year.
It pains me to say, that after more than 8-10 years as a fan and loyal customer of Dyson, I am now looking elsewhere, as I simply cannot justify spending £500+ on a completely new system with the expectations of it not lasting much more than a likely 2 year life cycle.
